Fun place to visit while on the island. Small but super fun to see the turtles up close. Keep in mind the entry fee help take care of the turtles!

This is an amazing place to bring kiddos of all ages-- there are a lot of interactive activities. The staff and volunteers are very well informed and super nice. They also offer Military and Senior discounts and kids 3 and under are free.

It doesn't take long to do this activity. It is $8 to get in. There is an informational area and then walk way to the turtle hospital. I enjoyed seeing the turtles and knowing there was a place that cared for injured turtles. The gift shop was nice and had a good selection.

Love this place, we never miss a chance to go. Great for the young and old. There is an exhibit area, a very well supplied gift area with high quality products (No junk here), and my favorite, the hospital where you see the recovering sea turtles up close. You can spend an hour here, or the whole day, so it's easy to schedule, and most areas are inside, so a good rainy day activity as well. Make sure to check out the classes they offer and the night walks!

We love this place. They are taking care of our sick and injured Sea Turtles. Thank you! This is our second time here. I definitely think it's cool to watch a real surgery on an injured turtles.

So informative! Grandsons loved it! It really helps teach the smaller ones how important it is not to litter! What happens to sea life when you do :( you even get to watch the vets patching up a hurt turtle! The ladies at the checkout were very informative as well.

This is great! I hovered between 4 and 5 stars only because there's not tons to see/do especially in the small exhibit room, but you can learn a lot if you read the information and watch the videos. Do bear in mind that it is a small place and half the main building is the gift shop, but for the price it's good. Some more things to do/games would be nice, especially for children. But you can pop in and out all day on your ticket and see surgery on the turtles, watch them bring animals out for the kids to see and the turtles are so cute, it was nice to be close enough to see them and we all had a great time. We even came back later in the day for the feeding time, which we loved. These guys do a fantastic job and it was a nice afternoon.

Great place for an afternoon visit. You can see turtles recuperating in tanks and hear their stories as they are fed a meal. The operating room is open for viewing through a large glass window. Several times a year you can attend a sea turtle release near Great Dunes park.

In the summer kids can attend Turtle Camp. Where they will learn about conservation, as well visit island locations such as Tide Lands and Summer Waves.

We really enjoyed our visit here. It was very educational and interactive. There is a large viewing window that allows you to watch the routine procedures done on the turtles while they are rehabilitating them.
We spent about two hours here, I think two to three hours is probably the sweet spot. Take your time and read the information, don't just rush through it. It isn't very large so if you rush through it you'll be done in no time.
This is a great way to introduce some education while on vacation, especially on a rainy day. Money spent here goes to the treatment and rehabilitation of the turtles. I'm honestly not very sure why people are complaining about the prices, guess they think it should be free? 🤔

This is a great place with a great mission. The good folks here are helpful and dedicated. My wife and I happened to visit on a day that was in the middle of spring break, and also on a special event day at the center. I have to say the elbow-to-elbow crowd along with way too many space-taking strollers hampered the experience. We'll return on a more lightly-attended day.

Very educational while also being entertaining for kids and adults. Go in the off season (Nov/Dec) for a more intimate experience. Saturdays are turtle weigh-ins. Gift shop is reasonably priced.

I enjoyed my visit to this little spot. The work they do to help sea turtles is impressive and I appreciate all their efforts to educate on the subject. There are some adorable exhibits with sea turtles and a few other ocean creatures. Getting to walk to the tanks to observe the turtles was fun. This isn't a terribly large place but it's got a lot of nice stuff within it.
