Friendly and delicious!! Also love the staff there!
Nothing special, just an ok breakfast. Server was only able to do one thing at a time. They put a sign in the window early saying they were closing for a family emergency because they couldn't keep up. Turned away many people. Heck of a way to run a business!
I don't know what people don't get about a clean quaint place. The Foothills is very nice. We stayed in the king room #8. It was nicely furnished, a great tile shower and clean. The walls are a little thin but that happens in the best places. FYI no free breakfast. The restaurant is great though. Excellent organic coffee.
Stopped in on this rainy day with our family of six: two adults and four children 6 & under. I was quoted 30 minutes. We knew going in that it was a small restaurant, cash only, but worth it. Dad and kids waited in the car while I waited on the porch with a magazine. So far so good. Forty to forty-five minutes later, we were offered a seat: split between a table for two and a table for four. We politely declined (does anyone want to separate young kids?). At that point, the host sat all the parties after us, even those that just walked in, without saving anything to push together to make a larger table. When I asked about her plan, she got very defensive and basically said I chose my fate when I didn't accept getting split up, and I'd have to wait a long while. Ok, fair. I only wish we had been forewarned. We could have saved plenty of time and hurt feelings. We went back into town for a great breakfast at another cash-only establishment.
Bottom line: unkind host staff and not good for kids or parties over four. Lots of signage about paying it forward and over all good vibes didn't translate this visit. Beyond bummed.
Been doing to Foothills for 30 years. The small dining room gives a family feel, with usually great service and always great food. Love the southern omlette.
The food was excellent. A bit pricey, but tasty. The drinks, however, were far more expensive than they should have. $2 for a "tall" glass of milk? Count me out. I could get a whole gallon for that price. And no refills either. But the atmosphere was pleasant. Good aesthetics.
Friendly staff. Great breakfast at the cafe. Eggs Benedict were on point. Room didn't have ac. Luckily it wasn't hot and there was a fan in the room.
Cute little place with local high school girl's as wait staff, good prices, good food and close to everything. Love it.
The worst. People were complaining about the food and waitress said there was nothing she could do about. Another customer asked for a fresh cup of coffee and the waitress said their coffee is always fresh even though it was obvious that the coffee had been sitting on the burner for a while. The reviews on this web site are misleading. Keep driving to Maple City.
Our favorite place to go in Michigan. Amazing food and equally amazing people!
