The Fish Dock is exactly what a good seafood house should be. Four of us had dinner last night and we all left very happy. The other couple had been there several times and always enjoyed the food. There was no buffet; everything was prepared to order. Instead of having the steamed clam appetizer, I asked if they could shuck me 12 to have raw on the half shell. It's not on the menu this way, but they will accommodate you if ask for them raw. My entree was baked black sea bass, and it was fresh, simple and delicious. I was impressed that all of the fish on the limited menu were local to McIntosh County waters. There's no option for salmon, lobster or any other non-local seafood (except for crab legs). I ate one of my companion's fried shrimp and it was tasty. French fries are usually an afterthought, but the ones' here are exceptional. They are thicker than most; crunchy on the outside and creamy in the interior. I could tell from the fried shrimp and the french fries that they were using fresh oil to fry with. Dinner for two, with two drinks but no dessert was under dollars. I never ate at the old version of the restaurant and prefer to order off the menu than to stuff myself from a buffet.

Great food real nice atmosphere great views ride along the water see the boats coming in and leaving you can even dine outside if you want by the dock.. love the entrance with the shark hanging above it kids probably love seeing that overall great experience if you like fresh fish or a nice ribeye you should try it

Since it is under new ownership they have done away with the Buffet. They have a very minimal menu not many options. They got over whelmed with 4 tables of people so it took a long time to get our food and some items were forgotten. The food did not taste good. I will not be going back.

I had been to this location on more than one occasion under the OLD management and it was probably the best buffet I ever had and I hate eating at buffets as the quality of food is never justified by the pricing. My most recent visit I was informed that the buffet was NO longer being offered due to new management. So, we ordered the peel & eat shrimp which were boiled and appeared to have sat in a pot too long, there was NO seasoning on them at all and the melted butter was flavorless too. So we placed our order and the calamari was like 4 to 5 pieces with a ton of breading and veggies. The fried snapper and shrimp were very GOOD though but it took an eternity to get our food to come out after being the first people in the door in the late afternoon. I was surprised the place was no dense as in NO people at all, which was a omen of what was to come. I wont be returning due to the over priced menu and NO buffet.

Food is AMAZING! Worth the beautiful drive. Very unique decor with outdoor marshside seating, fully stocked bar and large enough for any group. Food made from real food!!! Snapper and service were phenomenal 😍

Very disappointed in the food and the limited menu.
The chef didn't know how to cook the shrimp or the crab legs as they stuck to the shell and they tasted like they had been frozen for a long, long time.
We were excited to be taking our family there as we heard that it was under new management and the food was better. Sadly it was not and we spent $110 for a rare dinning experience.
The saving grace of the evening was the time spent with family and the fact that our daughter brought us some lemon marangue pie that she bought someplace else.response / report this review -

Food was delicious however seafood buffet is no longer offered since they are no longer part of pelican point and you cannot get oysters any longer which broke my heart..really wanted some good oysters! Had hamburger instead and was very good. Husband had shrimp and was great as well.

Don't waste your time going here. The shrimp was cooked so hard it could have cracked a tooth and the crab legs came out cold and you can tell that they were freezer burnt. The menu is pretty much non-existent of what they have. No prices on the menu. My baked potato 1/4 of it was rotten, they still cooked and served. Who ever heard of getting a shrimp dinner and not getting hush puppies? Should have known on a Friday night when there was only six customers in the whole building. That's a pretty good sign. If I wasn't raised better I would have gotten up and walked out. Wasted $65. And just to let y'all know there's no longer a buffet but I was still willing to give it a chance. Very very disappointed. Will never go back again.

There was no seafood buffet. It took us 10 minutes to be seated. It took five more minutes to get our drinks. Then we waited for 40 minutes and our food never came out. There was only one waitress and the manager doing 3 jobs. Four different parties left in the time that we waited for our food. We finally tapped out after they never came with our food. I will never return to this restaurant. One star from me.

i use to eat there from time to time as a kid. I have a family member that lives in the neighborhood that it's located in. what i remember is that it is a good place.

This a great place. The best crab cake I ever had. Land there on a Sunday afternoon. Quite and easy going. I did have a feeling Friday and Saturday nights things will rock.

Everything has change !!! 😠 if you are familiar with the old pelican point, as far as the food, unlimited buffet, you in for a surprised!! I surely was! I can even tell the cooks are different! The buffet is only offered on certain days, and the prime rib, fried oysters, crab legs are not even on the buffet anymore!! Our waitress latasha, was excellent

Had been coming here for a few years and since the new management it has changed a lot. The buffet is what we normally came for and the prime rib and they no longer have both. They only serve it on holidays. The price of the very limited buffet is still the same price which is a little rediculous if you ask me. Service was great and the food they did serve was decent just not worth the hour drive for us.

Found this place by accident while on our trip from Boston to Florida. Upon arrival we were impressed by the uniqueness and friendliness of the servers. We were waited by Kelsey with was key to helping us having a wonderful experience there. We are glad to have found this place and definitely will be back. Victor and Erica
