Astonishing and beautiful. From the ousted to the towering ceilings to the enormous organs. My wife and I were traveling and this is a must see in savannah. We sat in on an evening mass and it was breathtaking to look at. Thank you all so much.

An absolutely stunning church in the old part of Savannah. We saw the spires of the church as we drove by and just had to stop and enjoy it. It was well worth the detour.

When I am in Savannah visiting my scad student, we attend 10am mass at the Cathedral. I have loved mass along with the gorgeous architecture and rich colors and beautiful religious art. I can not help but mention the wonderful choir and beautiful music the choir director chooses. I can maybe only attend mass at St John Cathedral 4-5 times a year and it is a spectacular experience.

This neo-gothic cathedral is one of Savannah's crown jewels. A glorious building, this cathedral is beautiful around the year, with fantastic Christmas decorations during holiday season. Even if you aren't religious or Catholic, you must take a tour inside to see the hand painted frescos on the walls and ceiling (a rare sight in America).

If you interested, and around during the Christmas season, they have a midnight mass on Christmas Eve that is utterly awesome.

Beautiful space, much of it recently restored. The stained glass is especially nice. There was a volunteer who answered questions and provided some history which was much-appreciated.

Beautiful cathedral! They actively hold Catholic services/mass, so be aware of the time you plan on visiting. The "tours" are self-guided and you can't go see anything except the sanctuary itself, but it's stunning and worth the trip in! They operate on donations, so please consider giving, even if just a little.
