Venue is small with random barriers throughout, making getting around the space difficult. The lack of useable walk spaces leads to over crowding and difficulty exiting and entering the space. However, the space is relatively clean and staff seems friendly enough. The security is a little uptight, but as necessary for an occasionally overstepping crowd. Overall I would only attend another show here for a band I was particularly interested in, but otherwise I would not return.

I went to the Castle Theater a couple of years ago to see Reel Big Fish. The atmosphere is exciting and the service was great! If you're ever bored on a Friday night, they always have something going on.

Great venue for concerts, they continually draw great acts. Small enough to be able to get up close and the sound is excellent.

What a great venue! I had a great time and will definitely be back. The staff there was courteous, considerate and worried about our general safety.

The venue was perfect size for an intimate concert. Maybe add food? But other than that! Thanks!

Fun mid-sized venue with unique acts. Lake Street Dive concert was fantastically organized and pleasant, which I found pleasantly surprising given the sell-out crowd.

Location is grwat. The atmosphere is ideal for smaller shows and gathering. However the MC/DJ doesn't listen to people when they ask politely to turn down his mic.

This place draws better acts than any other venue in Bloomington Normal area. Its small enough to feel intimate and its a theater so its hard to find a bad place to stand (behind a tall person?). Alcohol is priced as expected for a venue. I've never had a bad time here.

And 4 hearts. Saw the mountain goats on this eve, which you may understand is quite an experience in itself. The Castle is a small enough venue that I could see the stage (as I'm incredibly short) and the sound was well balanced. One of my best concert going experiences.

Drove all the way to here from Michigan to see a show (Mother Hips with Quiet Company) Fantastic show in a great venue. Wonderful ambiance. Decent drink prices and friendly staff. Well worth the drive.

This venue gets a top rating from me. I love visiting small music venues in the Midwest and this is probably my favorite one so far. I love the layout. There's no bad spot in the house. Sound quality was on point. Overall great concert experience. I hope to visit this venue for a show again in the future!

Fun venue. Spacious area for the audience. The inside is really nice. Good sound setup. Minimal bar that gets the job done. I hope to return soon!

Good acoustics. Great sound guys. They didn't drown out the vocals like some other venues do. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house.
