My wife and I and my in-laws went to Carriage House to celebrate our anniversaries. Carriage House did not disappoint! The food and service were excellent. We enjoyed a nice, quiet and relaxing meal. Each gourmet dish was not only delicious but was also excellent in presentation. We will definitely return.

We are from the Detroit area and came here to dine with our family from Buchanan. Wow!!! The outside garden is ABSOLUTELY stunning. It's a French inspired garden that can't help but make romance a must! Rodney was a wonderful host and the entire experience from the beautiful surroundings, to the craft cocktails, appetizers and fabulous food was high end all the way! Strawberry Shortcake and cappuccinos were the perfect way to end the night. Thank you Josh for the quick story of your place and for a perfectly enchanted evening!

The atmosphere is PERFECT (outside), service was good, the wine selection was GREAT, as was the food BUT, even considering the remarkable quality of these things, it was a bit expensive. Don't get me wrong, this is one of the finest restaurants in Michiana, that said, it's too expensive for what you get, $100 a plate easily. I've been to some of the finest restaurants in the country and they cost significantly less at this quality point.
That does NOT mean you shouldn't go! It's one of my favorite restaurants in the area and the "Friday Afternoon Club" events are the one of the most enjoyable experiences I've ever had! I also veru much appreciate the owner's philosophy for restaurants. I will support it as much as I'm able. Just keep in mind that you will pay $100+ a person easily and maybe not quite what you'd get in Chicago for the same amount of money, just an hour and a half away.response / report this review -

In my opinion, this place is the best in South Bend. Something about the food is special. I really loved some things I never thought in a million years I would like. You can definitely tell they take care in working with local ingredients. I just stumbled across it by accident one day while out biking in the country. Decided to come try it a few weeks later. So, so happy I did.

Our Favorite Place! We love celebrating all our special occasions at Carriage House. The food is amazing, the staff is fabulous, and the owners are always so pleasant to talk with.

I highly recommend LaSalle for any formal occasion or just because! The bone-in rib-eye that I had was very excellent. And my wife had the pork chop, and it was excellent as well! Or waitress was part of the better experiences that we have had at a restaurant. They did the Christmas scene just right, not too much but enough
