MOH writing. Overall it was good. The venue itself has a lot to offer for a small to medium wedding, with great indoor/outdoor options. The waterfall is beautiful and makes for a pretty backdrop during the ceremony. All of the nik-naks in the catch-all closet of goodies that are available to use is really nice. My main reasoning for giving 3 stars would be the management. Two things: The first being, there were last minute rules sprung on the bride 2 days prior to the ceremony that were not listed in the contract. It was clearly stated that the wedding would not have a bartender since they would only be serving canned beer, no wine or liquor, and that was fine a few months prior to that wedding but then 2 days before the wedding they required a bartender. Luckily it worked out and they were able to find one. 2. The owners/management stayed the entire day, popping in and out on the wedding, cleaning the decorations off of the tables while the guests were still there, putting up chairs at 8pm even though we had the venue until 10. It just made everyone feel kind of rushed and awkward . We all ended up leaving and going downtown bc it just felt kind of weird to still be dancing when the owner is picking up around you. Aside from that it was great.
The owners are a delight to work with, even when we had to reschedule our wedding a year later than originally agreed on due to the pandemic. Easy to work with and they are there to make sure your special day goes smoothly! Beautiful venue, perfect for our wedding.
The venue has a nice water feature which is a lovely background for pictures. Comparable to other venues, this one is on the low end of costs. Overall the property is nice and sufficient for a smaller event. I give the setting 4 out of 5 stars. Be warned that in our experience if your event must be under cover for rain or cold, then the guest list should max out at 100. Although generally a nice couple, the managers' stories can be a bit long winded. Don't expect to have a late event because the latest they are willing to stay is 10:00 pm and require tear down to start at 9:00 pm. No alcohol can be consumed at the venue for weddings until the ceremony ends, not even in the bridal or groom's suite. I had several disappointments with this venue due to lack of instruction or the managers changing their minds. On the day of my wedding, I was told they required my table covers to be of a certain thickness. Luckily mine were approved but it could have been disasterous at that point due to my only choice would have been plastic table covers from a local store. Additionally, they agreed prior to my wedding that I could have guests throw lavender buds for my exit but then told me the morning of my wedding that I could not use the buds. This was quite disappointing because we put a lot of time and effort into planning this exit including listing Lavender Toss on the signs at the wedding; regrettably, I had guests asking me when we would do the lavender toss. I understand venues must have rules and requirements, but, due to the hassles and frustrations dealing with management, I regret using this venue for my wedding and must lower the rating to 2 stars.
My son and daughter-in-law got married there this past weekend and we couldn't have been more pleased. Bobby and Linda were amazing!! They made this day so much more enjoyable!!! They were such a blessing. Were so kind and helpful. The setting was simply beautiful. It is a wonderful place to have a smaller outdoor wedding. They offer so many amenities along with their personal help if you want and/or need it. I can't say enough. Thank you Bobby and Linda for making this such a wonderful, memorable day!!
I go passed it almost everyday and when i play golf with my boyfriend. Its beautiful there you have a golf course in the back and a blue Caroline mountain view in the front. If you would have a wedding there it can also be held inside or out, can fit about 100 guest max. Its off from the main road but easy to access. I plan to have my wedding there in the fall. Its simply captivating.
