Always a wonderful experience. Great pasta dishes with large portions. Ask for a half dinner if not to hungry. Also suggest bringing as jacket as it is usually freezing. Great dinner specials daily too. Have been going here for 20+ years and the quality and service never waiver. Park at ice cream shop if no other parking. Do NOT park in karate lot, uhaul a gamble, ice cream safe bet

An institution in Miami and for the University of Miami. There is history throughout the restaurant and always a lively atmosphere.
The downsides: Parking is terrible. At nighttime, it’s not a particularly safe area behind the restaurant, but that is the area one is forced to “hunt” to find a space. The restaurant is also beyond LOUD, with the staff adding just as much or maybe more noise to the din of guests and TVs with love games blaring. Finally, we were served three bowls of New England Clam that was almost entirely just broth — with almost none of the key ingredients in our soup. Some of it cane out immediately, others 15 minutes later. The waiter was MIA for a long while, so routine requests like “get me different soup” or for simple glasses of water weren’t served without ya getting up and interrupting another waiter.
A good place to “experience”, but with so many other options, why bother to ever go back?response / report this review -

I grew up eating at The Big Cheese but as I’ve gotten older I have come to expect a certain level of quality and cleanliness at the places I eat and they just don’t quite pass muster. Good vibes but so so food. Good place to bring kids but seldom eat there on my own or with friends. Three stars because it was a part of my childhood but drop the nostalgia and the stars begin to fade. Bottom line, they need to freshen it up alotta bit.

Busy Sunday night, sat outside, was attended by the nicest, most courteous server ever. His name is Josh (great disposition/ attitude). Whatever we asked for he's do with pleasure, like a nephew getting something for his lazy, but loving uncle. Upon leaving I asked another employee for the manager and thanked her for the experience and praise for Josh What a beam! Think her name was Erica, remember busy night. She stopped, listened and sparkled "Thank you so much," she said, "he is my son" I did not, but for some reason wanted to hug her (thinking of my Mom). I felt like family, was treated as such, kindness, respect courtesy, and so on By the way, food was great, too

FIRST OFF - this review is coming from someone whose family had a 5 Star reviewed pizza place in Charleston, SC and I have to be the of the most harshest critics when it comes to pizza.
The BIG CHEESE delivers! The best pizza I've had in FL. Hence why they have 4.4 stars out of 400+ reviews.
Get there early because they get packed and the people who work there are great and accommodating for how busy they get.
Also, as a side note they handled the hurricane with total class and tried extra hard to help and stay open to feed everyone! Tip of the cap to the owners and staff who show up every night to make this a great experience.

Great place for a quick bite. Pizza and rolls are excellent. I love their eggplant parmesan and veal sub. My son would want to go to the Big Cheese everyday if it were up to him.

Let me start sayings.Their is so many Pizza's Place's.But this one.Its Special.The Decoration of Football Players Photographs. And Celebrities. Its Great to look at.Now about the Quality of Food.Let me tell You People.Its a Plus,Sea Food Pizza,Waoo.Garlic Rolls With Cheese.You have to try them.Then come back and post it here! P.S. Food was it's usual, nothing but great. Pizza was wonderful. Garlic rolls could keep Dracula at bay.
Unlike what some places call garlic bread or crazy bread. More like toast.
Pasta is to kill for.
Would i suggest going there. Yes

Very nice staff. Cool atmosphere. The Garlic Rolls are amazing. No, literally, amazing. The pizza is always excellent. I went with 3 other friends of mine who, after dinner agreed Steve's Pizza was better. I have never been to Steve's Pizza but all I can say is the Big Cheese has excellent food, some of the best pizza in town and I will definitely be back!!

Best garlic rolls in town. Everything is good! Staff is awesome. My go to place when I'm wanting some good pizza loaded with toppings!!! Love this place!!

If I didn't give big cheese a 5 what is a five. Just awesome from greatest pizza. To a historic feel. To I just love big cheese and every one else does too. If you are in Miami this is a must.

I worked at this restaurant during my college years and I have always admired the cleanliness of the kitchen. They are militant about being sanitary. The service was great when I worked there and nothing has changes. It is in my opinion the best restaurant on the planet. Family friendly at its best. People always say you get tired of eating the food at any establishment you work in, but in the case of the Big Cheese all o do is crave their addictive cooking
