I travel the world on business and am in Long Boat Key over the holidays.
Today was my first ever visit to The Beach House I had the stuffed Red Snapper special and was amazed at the quality and taste of my lunch as well professionalism and knowledge of our waiter.
One could not rate this as 5 stars in the general sense but in terms of understanding where you are in its category it etcetera definitely my dish was a 5 star lunch.response / report this review -

A dining experience - even at a scenic, casual, fun and popular seafood restaurant - can be ruined by bad service. And so it was. Party of two, my son and I. We were seated and we waited for no less than 15 MINUTES before anybody came over to greet us. I was enraged. My night was already ruined. I went up to the hostess to inform her, and she hurriedly ran off to "take care of it." We then sat for at least another 5 minutes. No hello, no water, no drink order. Nobody even knew we were there. We were seated at the end of a long row of tables. The place was busy, but that is not an excuse. I didn't see any servers even remotely near us. Finally our server came over and just made excuses that she had to serve another table. FOR 20 MINUTES? It was pathetic. Service is NOT a priority at this place. Things smoothed out relatively from there, but the food was still pretty mediocre. Two crab cakes for $25? Are you joking? I was lured in by the scenery. Will never go back.

Amazing place, right on the beach! The location is unbelievable. We stumbled upon this venue at 3pm. It was happy hour! 2 for 1 with priceless views. I'll be back.

My favorite restaurant on Anna Maria. The whole restaurant has been redone and is beautiful. The food is amazing! Very friendly staff and even a great gift shop. I will definitely return and recommend to everyone!

My family and I have been regulars here for nearly 20 years probably coming up from Sarasota an average of about a half-dozen times a year at the peak. The last time we came, they were in the middle of making improvements on the restaurant. I was completely disappointed with the new restaurant. Although the improvements are shiny and new, I feel like the restaurant completely lost its soul. The food, which was already fairly expensive is now outrageously priced. We were a family of 4 (2 adults, and 2 kids), one of my sons had a soda, and the rest of us drank water and our bill was over $80.00For sandwiches and salads. I did appreciate the fact that they made the bread for my Cuban in house, but the sandwich wasn't worth the $14 or $15 price tag. To our server's credit, he did a good job. Really disappointingprobably won't go back.

My first time visiting Anna Maria Island and heard about this wonderful restaurant with great sunsets. Had 2 for 1 drinks which were great Matt is a great bartender. Had happy hour soft shell crab as an appetizer which was phenomenal then later stayed for dinner had the swordfish which was great. Had a wonderful experience I'd highly recommend it and I plan on going back again. The experience with the wait staff and the manager,David was Great.

As always, the food was delicious; the atmosphere delightful and the service friendly and efficient. Perhaps a tad pricey for my normal budget, but this was a special occasion. I got the gumbo. It was chock-full of delicious seafood, the sauce was thick and just spicy enough to be interesting and I took enough home to have for my dinner the next day. A definite do again.

Beautiful restaurant. The experience is like having dinner at a high end beach house overlooking turquoise waters of the Caribbean. The sunset was gorgeous, sitting at the outside bar, while watching the waves crash against the white sugar sand beach. The food was delicious. I was lucky enough to visit during restaurant week to savor the prix fixe menu. I enjoyed the king crab & caviar appetizer, seafood trio with stuffed grouper that was delectable. I finished off with blueberry ice cream that burst in my mouth like fresh picked blueberrys off the bush. I will be back to enjoy the food and ambiance again.

Great food, fantastic service and the atmosphere can't be better. Locally sourced seafood and farm to table fare made this a dining experience that was the peak of our visit. And the Key Lime Pie was the best we've had on this trip (and we've tried 3 so far!). You can sit on the beach, the covered patio or inside. All liked to be good options. Would recommend this for anyone looking for a great meal!

No trip to the Bradenton area is complete without a sunset dinner, and The Beach House is a great choice to get that checked off your list. Great menu, a lot of which is locally sourced and very fresh. It's directly on the beach so the views are spectacular and the breeze is nice. Newly renovated and looks awesome. Prices are reasonable, the place feels like it should be more expensive. My only complaint is that the service was a little sub-par but our visit was during their busiest time so I'll give them a pass on that for now.

This is a large open space place on the beach with great seating both inside and outside. A small gift shop in the lobby sells a variety of beachy items.
The menu has a good selection of simple fare with emphasis on seafood. Daily specials are offered. Full bar, beer and wine list. Food was simple but tasty and portions are generous. Prices are moderate plus. Our waitress was young but friendly and happy to to help. A busy place favored by locals and tourists.response / report this review -

I had an amazing fresh farm-to-table salad topped with scallops. Server, Justin G., gave great service! Manager checked on our experience which is always impressive. It's a tradition to come here when in town and always leaves our family looking forward to coming back to The Beach House. Also, no Styrofoam to go containers. Classy!

OK parking if you get there early. Valet if you don't. Nice seaside spot. Great bathrooms and gift shop. Indoor and outdoor bars. Beach side seating. Friendly for kids and adults. Casual to resort dressy. Menu has some great items. The chowder, grilled vegtables, hush puppies and fried fish were tops. Large scallops and shrimp were A OK. Food arrived fast and waitstaff tried hard. Amber was tops.

So I my took family to the beach house on mothers day 5/14/17, our server Hannah was great, the calamari good, drinks was good as well. My wife ordered the fish taco's and I ordered what should have been Shrimp scampi. Now keep in mind I also work for a high end restaurant so for me presentation is key. My meal as a whole was one of the worse shrimp scampi that I've ever tasted, it was thrown together in some diluted red sauce and it had no taste. I also ordered grill cheese for my 2 year old which we ask to come out first, when it got to our table, the cheese wasn't even melted. You guys need to step it up because for the price I paid for my meal alone I could have gone somewhere else and had a much better experience. I'm just glad everything else after leaving your place a much better experience.

The patio was without service for over an hour. Had to get our own drinks while several staff and managers walked by.
Were promised free shirts with a special drink, ordered and paid for the drink, asked for the shirt and was told they were out of them only 5 min later.
Was brought the bill before the food.
Nice place but won't be back.
Upscale and you can tell they only like to serve people that are over dressed for the beach bar they claim to be.
Food was good.
Servers stand over you after running your credit card and after lagging attention to get their tip.response / report this review
