  Good soups, German dishes and beer. Service is usually very good and the food is nicely prepared. Great meat make also.

  I do love this place always clean and great atmosphere. I've been going for years with my wife. I love German food she is not a big fan so she always got chicken cutlet which they took off the menu no big deal burgers and steaks are great. The last 3 times i went the food went way downhill. They burnt my schnitzel, cold red cabbage,cold spatzel and served it to me anyway, forgot to send my bacon wrapped scallop appetizer and liver dumpling soup ice cold. Place was almost dead and we waited a half hour for salads. Waitress blamed it on kitchen said it was very cold that day so they were short staffed. She removed scallops from bill. I hope they get a new chef or something soon.

  Great atmosphere, great authentic alpine food, great service at great prices. Feels like home cooking and is consistently tasty across the menu. After you have a wonderful, filling meal go to the market and buy some of their high quality meat. The beef jerky is the best and smoked scallops are a rare treat.

  Consistently great food. Suitable for children, parking, accessibility and atmosphere. Deli counter is reasonably priced and usually quick. The mulled wife is perfect on a cold day. The schnitzel is proper. The beer is cold. Definitely a must see and taste if you're in the area.

  This place was horrible! The food was lukewarm and had a rubbery taste and texture to it. The spetzle was still soft and sticky in the middle and when I complained to the waitress she told me that there was nothing they could do about it. Horrendous service and even more atrocious dining. There is a much better option right down the street at Der Jäeger, would highly recommend to anyone, not only looking for delictable german dishes but a place that will truly welcome you with open arms.

  Great atmosphere and food! Thank goodness we made reservations. I just wish there were more vegetarian options. I made up for it with great side dish selections as small plates.

  Stopped in here to try their german good. Everything on the menu looked delicious. Ended up deciding on the buffet. All the sausages and prime rib were tasty. Potato salad. Soup. And more. So full after eating. But still had dessert.

  A lot of the waitresses here make the side salads with their bare hands, and also touch the bread that comes in the bread baskets, which obviously is very unsanitary considering that they handle money and God knows what else in between. I wouldn't put it past the cooks to be handling ready-to-eat foods with their unwashed hands as well. The owner himself is extremely nice, but his wife is one of the most disrespectful women I've ever met. I've overheard her talking poorly about her customers more often than not, which probably has a lot to do with why the previous owners(her husband's parents)dislike her so much. Along with the fact that she treats a lot of the newer waitresses there like garbage right in front of customers. The waitresses are poorly trained(even the ones that have been there for 10+ years), and obviously were never taught the appropriate way to handle food. So unsanitary. This place would be a lot more pleasant if Gretchen wasn't there with her poor attitude.

  A "one of a kind" kind of place. The schnitzel is great and the pork knuckle is equally fantastic. If open the store is worth dropping into, bring a cooler bag and some self-control!
