Awesome pizza (especially the thin crust) that's very fresh. My personal favorites are the taco, which you can get with refried beans instead of tomato sauce, and the buffalo chicken.

Yeah. it’s a sh?!!@ bar 😕 after 2.5 years of patronage I still don’t get top notch service from the servers. They assume that just because I am a little buzzed I won’t notice the the second rate service, but I do. If you want a mediocre burger and sh?!!@, stale French fries this is your place!

Slow service. Most of the waitresses clearly have no previous experience or training. The pizza is amazing when they don't get your order wrong! Half price pizza on Tuesdays = half the amount of toppings.

Solid experience on the patio - got corona for $2.50 - nice.

Good service.

Would have liked to have the table wiped down - but it's not a huge deal.

The Airliner on Clinton street is pretty unique as it's one of the few true "Bar and grills" in Iowa City. In other words when you order food you can expect it to be above average compared to run if the mill bar food that makes your bowels question their existance. The pizzas great Along with 7$ beer pitchers!

Our service was good, food was good, too. Stopped while in town for the Iowa City Summer Arts Festival. I would say this place is comparable to Old Chicago in my opinion. I had a pizza and an appetizer and was satisfied/impressed.

The Airliner is amazing. When my girlfriend and I were there during a home football game we had to leave soon after arriving due to a family emergency. I asked the owner if I could just pay quickly so we could leave and he was generous enough to give us our food for free and wished us luck. He has earned my gratitude and business forever. Overall, great food, great people, good prices. It's a perfect college town restaurant.
