Reviewing shooting range only. I have not visited the gun counter or the archery section. As far as the pistol range is concerned it's fine - nothing special and just fine if you bring your own guns. The range is barely supervised but that's neither here nor there. The real problem I saw was with the gun rental. We rented a gun for the first time (Rug 1911) and bought ammo to put through it and within 50 rounds it jammed 7 times because it was absolutely filthy. Very disappointed to pay for a not fun experience due to poor upkeep on a nice firearm. To the plus side all the employees we have interacted with have been very kind.
Very OK gun shop, prices weren't great even for a brick and mortar store (slightly higher than online). They also didn't have any AK mags in stock at all, no domestics or foreign mags. Store was overall clean though but the layout was a little odd. It used to be a nice experience to walk in with friendly staff working but that was about 10 years ago. I don't frequent this shop/range as every time I am there I get an unsafe feeling, mostly from the other patrons and how they handle weapons with no correction from the staff. I hope this place turns around because it is very close to my office. Now I avoid this location unfortunately. Target world used to be a great shop
I bought a laser for my G43 got home and realized it wasn't the one I wanted. I called to see if they had the correct one, which was told they did not, and came in to return or exchange and order the correct one. Another employee took a look for it and found the one I was looking for and after my hassle they worked with me on price too. I'll definitely be coming back in for more weapons and accessories.
Everyone there was super nice, very knowledgeable and very willing to help in any way they could. Very impressed, will defiantly join these guys for ladies night every Thursday. Thank you again for everything
If you need a place to figure out what gun is right for you, this is the place. Frank, Dave, and Pat were extremely patient and helpful as I tried many different guns. Plus it’s fun to shoot stuff!! Pew pew!
Seems like of lack of knowledge in the gun safe department. I felt like I knew more basic information about them then the sales reps. They didn't seem interested in helping either. Once I purchased a safe, I attempted to take advantage of the 12 month no interest financing. No one really knew how to do that, and I waited as they attempted to complete this process for over an hour, only to be told that basically no person understood how to do it (not even managers) and that we could simply wait and hope it works itself out or simply pay in full.
Bottom line: Safe prices are good, service and knowledge not so much.
Basic gun class was good. Classroom time and 5 rounds through three different handguns.
Updated: I have a range membership. Bought it on sale and use it all the time. You can bring one guest for no charge, discount on ammo.
Large and diverse selection of retail items.
I prefer the vibe here, not as corporate as the chains.
Tip: Hit the Waffle House or Skyline nearby before you go. Afterward you are covered in lead dust and shouldn't be eating.
Target World has been me and my family's go to Range.
I have been into shooting sports for about 6 years and I have come to this range a lot. I have went to some of the other local ranges and can't believe the prices between each place. Then I find myself back at Target World.
I mean 2nd shooter cost? Really! I have only been charged for the lane
whether I bring my son or my wife or father in law.
As for the staff, I have Never had someone there Force a sale or treat me in any type of unfriendly way, Actually, in my experience they have been really patient and helpful with helping my wife pick out a firearm. Lol she won't take my word for it. I was really impressed with the way they took the time and explained the different types and functions of guns she had liked and they even had one to rent and try before we bought the new one.
Only thing left is to get her CCW class, Hell they have that too. I love One Stop Shops.
Good selection and best hours of any shop, but the good news ends there. They have the worst cockiest salesmen of any shop I've been to in the area. Spend your hard earned $$ elsewhere where they don't talk down to you and treat you like a customer.
Friendly and helpful staff. I wasn't sure what to expect from the employees at Target World. Yesterday was our first visit there. They helped us through a simple registration process and got us started on the target range quickly and in a very friendly manner.
Very knowledgeable staff, reasonable prices and a good indoor range. Many models available to shoot on the range. HUGH help in making a good buying deceision. Only place I will buy from now.
