The Portuguese egg tart is the best!
Chicken pot pie is delicious and filling
The custard pastries were very nice. Sesame ball was delicious. Got a nice box of assorted pastries for $15.
The selection is really nice. The counter service was very helpful and polite. Everyone is right about the egg custardsvery tasty with a lovely crust.
They have black sesame soymilk here. Egg tarts could be hit or miss.
Great ice cream cakes that are fun for a birthday celebration. Order the day before for flavors like coffee, mango, WASABI (!!), etc. Vanilla, chocolate, or red bean are available walk-in.
My personal favorite place for egg tarts in NY. I always get the oval-shaped ones, which have a lovely crumbly cookie crust and aren't overly sweet. The mini egg tarts make a great gift too.
$1.45 for a pork bun.
Bring a Cantonese speaker or get out your fighting gloves, people mean business here. One of the few places I've found Portuguese style dan tat, which have a way better texture than regular egg tarts
$1.25 green tea tart
Great baked goods
Best egg custard tarts in Chinatown (pick the Portuguese style one)
A great overall bakery, we especially like the Portuguese egg custard tart and the slices of plain roll cake.
the tray is very important. it represents your position on line. the ladies behind the counter will only acknowledge people with trays.
Have the egg custard( Portuguese style) yumm
Their cakes are amazingly delicious! I can't read anything in the bakery so I call and order on the phone lol.
綠茶蛋撻 (green tea egg tarts) is where it's at!
A very light crust that's just a bit too crumbly for our tastes, but not bad. The filling has a natural pale looking color and tastes like what we are looking for: light, eggy, and not too sweet.
Pick up tongs and a tray in the back and help yourself to the baked goodies. When you have everything you need, set the tray on the counter to get in line to pay or order stuff behind the counter.
Bring someone who speaks Cantonese with you every time, takes 3x longer if you don't. Mandarin doesn't always cut it either.
