I like the Texas style BBQ. It's a nice change from the Georgia BBQ that is typical around here.
I tried the brisket plate and I was pleasantly surprised. Most places around here have their brisket "pulled apart" but theirs is chopped, Texas style, which is what I prefer. 3 different sauces, one sweet, one spicy, & the last very vinegar based (Carolina style). Jerk collard greens were good, along with mac & cheese w/ Texas toast.
The guy was an ass on the phone
Absolutely disgusting. I got a BBQ pulled chicken plate with a side of baked beansnothing had any flavor. Howard Hsu's dad was working the register and was rude and rushing people. The baked beans weren't flavored and I had to spit it outnothing was palatable. They should be ashamed to call that bbq and charge for it.
Worst BBQ i ever ate. The place was dirty and food undercooked. Even though we didn't eat they still insisted we paid for everything. After 3p minutes of discussing the bill and food they atill charged me 31 dollars. I was so ready to just leave. My whole experience was horrible. My wife and son both got sick from eating just a little bit of the sides. Never go here!
Great southern barbecue. Brisket, collard greens and beans all excellent. Good portions and excellent price.
Have always wanted to like it, but the bbq's just not that great. Mac and cheese and Texas toast, now those are good, but the key feature pales in comparison to other places in Atlanta, let alone other places in the South. Better food can be found at most other stalls in the curb market.
The string beans will have you begging for more. If my mother would've cooked string beans in bacon fat I would've ate my vegetables every time.,the food is great and the sweet tea is perfect. The brisket was tasty, but the pulled pork is better. The staff is awesome and the bartenders are cool. Check them out if your in the area. You can park behind Urban outfitters for free!!!
