I love Dr. Haver's great care for my pets. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time with his patients. I am very impressed by his expertise.

Had major surgery on my 12 yr old dog to remove a cyst at the base of her tail. Staff professional as always Dr Seibert is the hero once again. A successful outcome with amazing skill and dedication! Thankful

When I called to make an appointment because my dog had a horrible flea problem and I said I wanted to try the pill because topical treatments didn't work anymore they said I could just buy it over the counter without being examined. What a new approach! Not charging me for an appointment but letting me get the treatment my dog needed. They also we're having a low cost vaccination clinic the next weekend. Awesome.

I like their service and their compassion for the animals, BUT the reason I am so thoroughly disappointed in them is this: Hyperthyroidism is very common in older cats, so they recommended a small pill to give to my cat or a transdermal gel put into the ear. I went with the pill. It was so traumatic trying to get my cat to take them that I had to stop, and I called them about the gel. Turns out the gel is FAR easier to give to my Cat and yet their office does not carry it. I had to order it from Arizona and wait a week for it to arrive.
If hyperthyroidism is so common, then carry the solution for it in both formats! My Cat's health was threatened because of their incompetence.
Thanks to their ineptitude in medicine availability, my cat with Hypothyroidism had to be put down. And due to the sudden loss his brother passed away too.
OWNERS BE AWARE!
The company they send your pet to no longer sends a sample of your loved one's fur, they failed to tell me that. Don't make the same mistake with these pitiful veterinarian slobs.

This place is the slowest, rudest place I've ever been to. A 20 minute wait to get taken back for vaccinations followed by a 40 minute wait to get checked out and get test results that were 4 minutes away from being finished. Absolutely ridiculous. Constant mistakes. Front desk people take 20 minutes to check someone out and are rude. There are better places to spend your money.

Love this place! Dr Metten wanted to try an easier treatment first before doing all the expensive stuff first and my dog is fine now. I so appreciated that. Staff is great and they even called to see how my dog was doing.

Great service and veterinary practices. Dr. Wang helped us with our cat. He was nice and helpful with the entire process. In the end the cat died, but he was most kind and attentive, he also helped us by trying everything he could to find a solution for the problem. Counter staff are kind and talkative, and help comfort you. This place has even offered to stay open an extra 10 minutes or so to help us with our needs. Great people and service.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would.
I brought my dog into the vet for swelling on her paw. She's a boxer so she is prone to allergies and I assumed it was related to her allergies - possible from a bug bite. The vet, Dr. Drew, couldn't see a bite and said she thought it was a foxtail even though she had no exposure to them (we walk our dogs on an asphalt trail and we have no greenery in our yard). She gave her some medication to reduce the swelling and asked us to come back the following week.
After a week, the swelling had gone down, I took her back and Dr. Drew gave her the "all clear". Less than three days later, it came back. I called and let her know so we went back to the vet. After waiting an hour past our scheduled appointment, the swelling area on the paw burst in the waiting room and the infected blood went everywhere. It smelled terrible but there was nothing in the blood.
Dr. Drew now said she thought a foxtail could be further up in her paw or it could be a tumor. Seriously?! This diagnosis was from one extreme to the other. She said she wanted to do exploratory surgery.
I asked why an x-ray couldn't be taken to see a foreign object (i.e. foxtail or tumor). She insisted the exploratory surgery would be fine and wanted to "save me the money" by doing the x-ray. By this time, I had been at the vet 2.5 hours with my 4 week old baby. I said fine, do what you need to do.
My husband took our dog to the vet the following day to have her surgery and I picked her up once it was complete. What did they find you ask? Nothing. There was absolutely nothing - no foxtail, no tumor, nothing. It was likely she had a bug bite and it got infected, which caused the swelling.
The total cost was over $500. Absolutely RIDICULOUS! This vet is completely incompetent. Avoid at all costs!response / report this review -

They are always so fast at appointments and very educated. There was a lot I didn't know about traveling with my emotional support dog, and they got me everything I needed and even called me back a couple days later to see how the sleeping pills worked with my dog. Also, the military discount is so helpful with their already reasonable prices.

This place is the only vet I trust in North County San Diego. Did an amazing job on my 15 year old lab with a surgery and continue to be very affordable and great fun front office. Vers are thorough. Love!

We have brought two cats there. One we knew it was her time. She was an older cat and her body had just begun to shut down. Surfside got us in fast so she didn't have to suffer longer than necessary. The doctor was the kindest heart I have ever met. She was incredibly gentle, didn't criticize or question us.
Our second cat is a huge male rag doll who was having trouble urinating. He has problems with not drinking enough and we found out he had a blockage from crystals in the bladder. He now hates the vet but his surgery was necessary and throughout the week he was there we were given frequent updates from his doctor. We hope to never need to go back there, but I feel comfortable knowing if we do the service will be excellent, the price will be fair, and the animals well being will be the first priority.response / report this review
