Good price but you get what you pay for. The good is they serve breakfast at 5:30 so for those who are up or work early it's great. Selection leaves something to be desired. This morning I pointed out to the dullard behind the counter that the milk was spoiled and I think he thought I left and was going to put it back. Came back later for breakfast and I asked if there was any milk and he pointed to a sign he made saying out of milk. So now my choices are waffles or pastries or yogurt. Rooms are OK but need some freshing up. Good wifi
I would maybe stay here again as a one night pit stop. For the price it was alright.
Highlights:
-Friendly manager
-Comfortable mattress
-Decent breakfast options.
Lowlights:
-Stained sheets
-Musty air units
-Parking Lot serf sketchy at night
Breakfast options were better than I expected and the manager was really nice.
There were dehumidifiers in the hallways and maybe they did need them, but so many people talk about the musty smell online. I was dreading it, but couldn't smell anything musty until we opened the door to our room. The room was musty AF and THICK, but luckily we had good weather and could turn the air unit off. It's ONLY the smell from the air unit blowing. Either this place should invest in new units or clean them or maybe the filters need changed? If you turn the air unit off the smell clears up fast. We went to get food for 45 minutes and it was gone upon return.
The king sized mattress was ridiculously comfortable. I slept better here than on my own mattress and Serta padding. Our sheets were stained on one side of the bed. The pillows were not nearly large enough for the bed. The comforter was light and scratchy. We brought our own pillows and a twin comforter which we shared as that seems to be a common hotel problem.
The cable went out 10 minutes after we arrived and was off for a while. Even when it was on it was pretty fuzzy.
A few things could have been renovated inside our room (like bathtub and walls), but other than the sheets and someone's leftover ice cream in the freezer it was really clean.
I'd recommend better lighting outside. It really looked like a seedy place and made my SO uneasy about letting me go outside alone. We were also worried about our new car and belongings inside it. Inside the hotel they had several cameras around.
Other guests seemed nice enough and kept to themselves. It was realllllllly quiet and we slept well.
We were stranded in Terre Haute for 19 days at this hotel. They made our stay as pleasant as possible very polite staff, the maid was awesome her name is Kay, overall I would do it again. Great staff and wonderful owner .The beds were very nice, we had great sleep.
An adequate hotel as a "last resort" overnight stay. Housekeeping barely maintains a minimal cleaning standard. Melissa did an awesome job with booking my weekend stay.
When he saw my dad was an AARP member he checked and got 4.00 off. This was after we'd already agreed to a price. I thought that was very nice. Room was clean and inviting, bed was very comfortable.
Only been here a day but so far so good. The front desk manager (Mindy) has been incredibly accommodating, rooms are nicely refurbed, lobby looks wonderful and I'm looking forward to trying out their new mattresses.
This was a decent hotel, our room was quiet so I'm not sure what everyone else is talking about with thin walls. It's not the Taj Mahal, you get what you pay for. My bed was comfortable, it was quiet, it was clean. I think the shower and toilet room could have been better, but it functioned, plenty of hot water.
Just stayed,at this hotel on August 7th 2017. GREAT MOTEL. We checked in super late at 4 AM.room was immaculate and nicely cool..they let us have a late check out at 2 PM. Super quiet, cool and very clean. We were very impressed. ESPECIALLY for the great value.
This place was "not" that clean so bring your flip flops to take your shower. The hot water ran out really fast. The fridgerator was not that cold. There were plenty hairs on the sheets and blankets along with many visitors who were drinking outside. I will not be going back! I only stayed there because my son was graduating college and wanted to be close to the university!
No answer at # for 4 hrs , Recording says no one available to take your call. customer service transfers numerous times till disconnect
I stayed there 2 weeks ago for one night. The staff was very friendly. Everyone seemed to appreciate each other and get along. I was placed on the first floor. I was given great directions on where to park, how to enter, and how to get to my room. I noticed when I entered my room it had some dust that hadn't been swept on the floor, and the bathroom was a little dirty. Strands of hair were left in the bathroom from the person before me. Gross. The bed was comfortable, but I was in an adjoined room, so I could hear the stranger next door snoring throughout the entire night. Also, the walls were paper thin, so I could also hear the people above me making noise as well. I'm not completely disappointed in the place. I think the price for one night was high. However, most hotels/motels in Terre Haute are overpriced. Breakfast was good. I had wished there were eggs. But, oh well! I recommend ear plugs if staying here.
The service at the front desk was good and the rooms were decent. The laundry is out in the open, in a hallway and unfortunately, they don't enforce their rule on only doing laundry from 8 am - 10 pm
Great low rate, super helpful staff at check in (Wes showed us a room prior to booking to ensure it met our toddler's sleep needs 😀), and pretty clean and in good working order. Only complaint is location involves highway noise.
Did not utilize breakfast so unable to speak to that part of the stay.
