Great place to shop. Knowledgeable staff.
My Dad stopped to check on pricing campers for my son and was greeted by a female employee who was rude and condescending to him. She demanded to know his price range and what kind of truck he owned and when he didn't immediately give her that information and told her that he wanted to actually look at some campers she told him to go home and look at them online! Apparently she isn't one of the friendly employees that other patrons mentioned in their reviews!
Super nice dealership! Everyone was very helpful and the indoor showroom was really cool. I like that a real person answers when you call. Our salesman, Mark, could answer most of questions right away and found out the answers he didn't know. The lot out back is huge, 16 acres they said. They have golf carts to take you around. Although we ended buying from another dealer I wouldn't hesitate to shop here next time I'm in the market for an RV.
Sales and parts departments are excellent here. I might should give Summit 3 stars, but the service center is so bad and slow I wouldn’t recommend this place to nobody. The old man that is a sales man said, “If you don’t buy off us, we won’t do warranty work to your camper. We will tell you to take it back to wherever you bought it.” Luckily I didn’t end up buying off of him, I ended up dealing with a nice lady that was polite and great to work with. That being said I kinda wish I’d bought off someone else and took it to them for my warranty work. My camper was there 2 months last year and 3 weeks this year to fix a cabinet door, a medicine cabinet shelf, one piece of loose trim, Velcro on my dinning table cushions (not something I was really concerned with), and the fan in my range hood quit working. Ohhh and the outside shower head door fell open going down the road, it needed fixed. Almost 3 months they fixed the trim (one nail required), outside shower head replaced, medicine cabinet shelf. I decided enough was enough and went to pick my camper up with it unfinished. I had to sit for 2 hours while they screwed a cabinet door on before I could hook up. After I hooked up, I noticed an outside storage door was cracked open. It was that way because they jerked my door open with it still locked. Needless to say, I’m fixing the remaining issues and their damage myself.
On date of delivery they informed us that the camper had taken hail damage while we where waiting on delivery. The sales manager offered 300 dollars in store credit for the hail damage, which was insulting for a 15000 dollar camper, that was supposed to be new. They agreed to let their insurance take care of the damage, which we agreed to. We went ahead and took delivery of the camper, with tghe agreement for them to pick it up for the repairs. The next morning we woke up to a wet bunk bed, and an inch of water in one window. I called the sales manager first thing on Mon morning informing her that the camper had a leak in the bunk area, they pick the camper up that day to check the leak. I told her since it had the hail damage and now had a leak in the roof, that i wanted a new camper (which is what i bought). She stated they had to check to make sure that the damage didn't occur at our house, which I understand, then she would get back with me. I had to call her at 5 that evening to see what they had discovered about the leak, she stated that she would call me in the morning after she talked to her service department. Next morning, no call, waited till 11 to call, the receptionist said she was on her way down to talk to the service department. She finally called my wife to tell her they found nothing wrong. I sent her pictures of water dripping off the ceiling and all along the outside wall of thed bunk area and window. She promptly text me back and stated with an exclamation point that it was just condensation. I asked if it was just condensation, why was it not throughout the camper. No answer back. I filed a report with the manufacturer today, I'll update when I get more info.
Great service department and we liked Trish as a salesperson as she knew what we were looking at and knew exactly which models to show us. Now to contact her again as the one we just looked at sold.
Really nice place! (And I do mean that)
Unfortunately, they walked right in front of us and locked the campers 40 min before they closed That's enough for me to not buy from here. Your call, Summit RV.
If you close at 5pm, I suggest you lock up at 5pm and leave at 5:30..
Bought a brand new RV from Dunlap RV instead. We love it.
