After coming to the Subaru of Winchester today, I will NEVER be taking my car any where else but here! I had the best experience with the service department. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with smiles and a warm welcomes. The advisers took care of me as soon as I walked in letting me know how long the wait was going to be and even offering a FREE loner car until they were finished! The manager Mandy was out helping with another customer as well due to them being busy today.
I had my full grown rottweiler in my car and they insisted that I could bring him in while I waited for my oil change. They gave him so much attention and love as if he was part of there family. He even was given a dog treat. They make you feel so comfortable and welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. My complimentary car wash and cookies were the icing on top of an amazing first experience with Subaru of Winchester.
Went to Subaru to get my car inspected and it was a very pleasant experience! Only took about an hour and they let me take my dogs inside to cool down while I was waiting. All the service members there were very kind and great to talk to. Very nice!!
Like another commenter, I was the recent recipient of a new engine block at Subaru of Winchester, provided by Subaru of America. I am deeply grateful to Mandy and Brad in the Service Dept. for being my advocates to make this happen. They may not want me to go into too much detail, but I can tell you that Brad went way above and beyond in taking care of another service issue as well. As I said, I am deeply grateful.
I strongly suspect that most of the negative reviews on this site were written by people who approach customer service workers in general with a bad attitude, suspicion, and hostility. They're impossible to please, and therefore miserable most of the time. (God bless 'em!) That's my best guess. But what I KNOW is that Mandy and Brad totally ROCK!
The showroom is clean, well organized, and welcoming. Sales staff are helpful and friendly. It takes forever to get questions answered and shop for a vehicle here. We spent most of the day to find they were not willing to negotiate price at all in the end. They actually got pushy and disrepectful, "in your face", show you the invoice hostile type of BS explaining. We liked the vehicle, but did not purchase here. It didn't go well for us, but it might, for you. Know exactly what you will pay before you go in. The service dept is being remodeled. Decent amout of inventory for Winchester.
A+ and many thanks to the Service Department. No gimmicks - just great work and good advice on what to watch for on my 12 year old Subaru. By planning ahead, making an appointment - all work was completed on time as promised. Mandy at intake was precise as to what I asked to be done. Brad called with an overview of the diagnostics and great advice on what we may need to address in the future. At check out, she went over every single item worked and completed.
Exactly what I asked for. Exactly the price I was quoted. Exactly completed on time. Great people there doing a great job for us.
Went for a recall, and I was treated well. I was also given a free loaner car for 2 days and overall service, even though going through a major remodel was quick and efficient!
I moved to the area several years ago and have always been a little weary about taking my Subaru to a dealership to have work done. I had several really bad experiences at the dealership I took my Subaru to before. I had several lights come on my dash and needed to take my vehicle to the dealer to diagnose. When I walked in everyone was super friendly and helpful. I worked with Brad Oliver in the service department and he walked me through the whole process very thoroughly. After diagnosing my vehicle they found that it was an issue with the transmission that was very easily fixed. I also had them take a look at my oil consumption because I had been burning a lot of oil since I purchased the vehicle. After several weeks of performing the oil consumption test and talking with corporate, Mandy and Brad fought to get me a brand new engine! The service I have received from this Subaru dealership has been AMAZING! I could not ask for a better group of people working on my vehicle. They are truly the first people I think of when I think of good customer service. I even plan on buying my next vehicle from them!

The staff are friendly and swift. They are quite generous with the use of loaner cars, and flexible with scheduling and appointments. Prices are always reasonable, and usually even lower than expected for parts and maintenance. Even though they are remodeling, staff are organized and thorough. I can't wait to see the new service bay, and Mandy is always a treat to talk to. I've been going here for about a year now, always pleased with the service and prices.
Very impressed. First time there. Went in for airbag recall and service person, Brad, very friendly. My car was washed and vacuumed at no charge. Definitely will return. Only wish they were closer. Five+ ⭐
My experience at Subaru was great the service people were amazing and were very helpful. The express lane service was very good as well quick and easy.
The techs were diligent in diagnosing a difficult problem to pinpoint the cause. Despite the temporary office space, all staff was friendly and efficient.
I paid for over $2200 in repairs. My car was finished 5 days later than quoted. I received a loner car but was threatened with $6 per gallon for them to refill it even though the paperwork I signed said there was no charge. The final bill was over the estimate and was not corrected. I tried to talk to the service manage to voice my concerns about the price and the gas on the loaner but felt as though it didn't matter what I said, I was wrong (even after sending copies of the paperwork I signed) I even called to talk to the general manager about it all and was talked over when I challenged his excuses and was overwhelmed with his ego and lack of concern for my experience. And, even after spending that much money and waiting that much longer to get my car back, I was never offered ANY compesation or discount by either the service or general manager! Customer service is not a priority herego somewhere else.
I saw a used car that I have been wanting listed on their website so I decided to randomly drop by and check it out. I was met by a cheery and exceptionally nice salesman named Duncan who made my car buying experience unforgettable. It turns out the car that I came to see just came in that morning, and was actually still getting cleaned. I asked to see it but Duncan was hesitant to let me see it until it was cleaned because he believed that first impressions are everything, which is admirable. I asked him to see it anyway and it was pretty clean minus a stain on the driver side seat. He told me that they had already ordered a brand new seat and it was on the way.
I asked to test drive it and he came along with me, sharing his extensive knowledge of the car and telling me to do things to showcase the performance of the car (hit the gas hard on this long straightaway, do a tight 360, etc.) I was astonished by how much he knew about the car and he seemed more of users manual than a salesman, which is a good thing. We all know how salesmen can get. Also, this is all happening AFTER THEY CLOSED. I was enough of a pain in the butt to show up to the car dealership 20 minutes before they closed, but he was happy to work with me until about a half hour after they closed.
Overnight I thought about buying the car or not, and decided that I wanted it. It was everything I wanted. I showed up right at opening the next day and was greeted by the staff with hellos and smiles. The paperwork was a little lengthy, especially because they are remodeling the building, so things were a bit unorganized. It was nothing a little mosey around the lot and a trip to the bakery across the street for a quick bite couldn't fix though. Anyway, at the end of the day I would have to give my experience there 5 stars, and would recommend anyone who is looking for a Subaru or a Mazda to give this place a look.

Staff seemed to get frustrated when we didn't want to purchase a Subaru should probably teach your sales reps to have knowledge of the used cars on the lot as well. 3 star for the Subaru knowledge and help, minus 2 for losing interest and not caring about the sale when we decided to try a different brand.
Just not a very customer oriented Service Department. Stopped by for VA Inspection at 12:48. Told by service writer his inspection person would be back at 1pm. No problem. Waited until 2:30 but no word. When I checked, the car was sitting in the same spot. Somehow my service ticket was tagged with 1:19pm for the time30 minutes after I dropped it off. Asked for keys and got out of there. Will never be back.
Fantastic! These guys are all head and shoulders above the rest. If you're looking for a terrific experience buying your next vehicle you need to stop in and look up Duncan or Chris and before you leave say hello Chuck. They all take great pride in what they do with honesty and integrity in everything they touch. Take a bow all you deserve the praise.
So I've had multiple experiences with this dealership in the last three years. The first experience was amazing, only because Gary is the best! The second time we were wanting to trade in the first car and Gary wasn't available, the guy we talked to took one look at us and told us we couldn't afford anything there, probably because we were younger. We came back a few months later with Gary and he remembered us from the prior time and had no issues getting me into a new car, a Subaru, which was exactly what a wanted, perfect color and everything! Recently we have been in twice and the second guy we talked to was very unpleasant both times, basically as soon as he realized he wasn't getting a sale his manners went away. I'm not sure of his name but I always recognize the face. This dealership gets 5 stars from me because Gary is so great and I would recommend everyone go see him!! Even when we came in for an oil change he was just as pleasant as always. Gary your the best :)
