It's no longer the place of my childhood. You used to be able to cut your own pumpkin from the vine and create a cool top now not so much. Great market and can't beat the cider doughnuts
We’ve been there recently and I could not stand the cruelty of the pigs races. And I think $10 is way too much for a family of 6. $60 just to go in?! With that many kids you will definitely spend more with apple cider and donuts and stuff like that. Apple picking we usually do but i didn’t want to spend anymore money, and no pumpkins either. Also, there was a TON of trash everywhere. The least you can do is pick up the trash!!! Never coming back again. We will have to try and go somewhere else.
Went with my wife and 3 month old to pick out some pumpkins. We just did the store so didn't have to pay an entry fee. Farmhouse store has a great rural vibe. There was a great pumpkin selection through the back of the store, large, small and even white pumpkins. Prices were very reasonable and the checkout was pretty quick despite the long being quite long when we got in it. Definitely plan to go back.
Went here for fall festival. Decent attractions. Corn maze was not the greatest. Apple cider doughnuts and apple cider was great though. Decent pumpkins.
We had such a good time with our family. Lot's of things to do for kids. Pig races, corn maize, wagon rides, apple picking, apple cannon etc.
This is a great farm with activities for kids to do. However, admission is $10 per person. If you are just picking apples there is no admission fee, you just pay for the apples purchased. I absolutely loved the freshly made apple cider donuts and cider slushies and the apple cider is absolutely delicious!
Great place to pick fresh apples. I went there on a field trip with my daughter's preschool in the presentation was outstanding.
Oops should have been 5 stars excellent place for family fun going to pick apples and going to The Rustic Farm Store is nothing but a place of instant lifelong memories.
Use to love to bring my kids to pick apples and get apple cider slushies. Now that you have cruel pig races, I wont be back. Family fun at an orchard should be about apple picking and hay rides, not teaching kids abusing animals unnecessarily for entertainment is fun.
A favorite place for Apple picking, pumpkin patch, and hay rides. Fun play area for the kids aswell.
Lots of fun. Yes they charge for admission during the fall festival. You'll get your money's worth if you do more than just pick apples and pumpkins though.
Kids loved it, but if they were my kids I'd have to pay $60 ($10x4 kids + $10x2 adults) to ride the hay ride. How could a medium or large family afford that? Don't forget cost of pumpkins, apples and candy, which you will be buying if you have children with you.
Beautiful area & clean but expensive -- agree with other posts about the high cost to cover the hay ride and activity area. There is a "free" area which still had some good pumpkins, of course free parking and access to the store but was segregated from the area you had to pay for. Not certain what all was included in the $10 per person price except the hay ride - just wish you could choose to only ride the hay ride without paying $10. Maybe a couple bucks? It is expensive for families with multiple children. Otherwise, no complaints. Fun place to go and get the fall feel!
Sub par Pick your own Apple Farm. There is a $10 per person entrance charge on weekends. When we called we where told this includes the price of 1/2 peck bag of apples. This is not the case. If you pick apples you will be charged for them, even with the 'special' bag they give you. Its not a very friendly place, especially compared to what we are used to. We picked 1 peck of apples the cost was $14 25 apples fit in our bag. That's an okay price for pick your own. Also consider the reason for two starts instead of only one. These apples are all organic. Organic seed and no pesticides or herbicides are used. Except for what ever a bug leaves behind these are safe to eat fresh off the trees.
We drove an hour with 5 people If we go back we will be sure to go on a week day so we are not charged an entrance fee.
I am eating an apple now. Its pretty good. We have McIntosh , Red Delicious, and Johnathon.
