I had really enjoyed being there at that time. It is a nice place to go swimming if you want to, they also allow boats to go through. As well As the nature center they had, it also costs 10 dollars to go through. And if you like collecting shells,(like me) you would also find some shells some where on the beach, also rocks and seaweed if you like science a lot, over all, I thought it was a really fun place to go to. 😀

Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful park for a walk, run, bike, or ski! I took my dog with me in the middle of the fall season and the trees were perfect colors! Do visit the guest center before starting your adventure because it is easy to get lost and confused. I lost my way around, but thankfully the park rangers were very friendly and helpful and got us back to the car!

This is a DESTINATION. Simply unrivaled by other parks in the area. I will drive miles out of my way just to spend a whole day here with friends. The long, beautiful trails and fun along the lake make visiting this park worth the journey.

Disc golf course is one of the best in the area, beach is a little over crowded and they really need a dog friendly beach that is my biggest complaint! I use to be able to fo off to one of the side parks (not the beach) and let bandit , my dog, swim there and no one really cared but the last time I went there I got screamed at for this by some very unfriendly officers and told I would get a misdemeanor if I did this again. Can someone please make a dog friendly beach around here?!?!?!

Second time here and last, Do not recommend the beach heavy smoking around our kids absolutely not enjoyable. Yes you can move and keep moving because just when you think that you found a good place to sit and enjoy a meal with your family think again. ANOTHER person smoking! So bad, or just stay in the water and never come up for air.

Great park to bring the family and friends to for picnics or just relaxing or exercising. You can walk around the park, jog, ride the bike, and roller skate. I've seen dogs walk around the park. So it's animal friendly too.
Kids have play areas. Clean water and restrooms. Just needs more "updated" picnic areas for family gatherings and celebrations. Also needs additional playground for children and TRAIL BIKING areas. Zip-LINING across the lake would be cool.response / report this review -

This park is simply beautiful! There is a lake where you can rent a canoe or a paddle boat or go for a swim. There are also paved trails for running or riding your bike. There is a small park admittance of around $10 for a day pass or you can purchase a pass for the entire season. The Nature Center has live animals and a bird watching station where I even got to see a hummingbird. This place is very relaxing--I love to feel the wind in my hair as I watch out over the water.

Love this place so much. Would 100% recommend and I will definitely be coming back. I normally don't like beaches but loved theirs and their nature trails near the nature center were so fun and had great views. Can't wait to come back here again!

Love Stony Creek. Always clean, well kept up. Great swimming, fishing, hiking walking, nature center and sunsets and even love tent camping there too. Always get the year pass as it is so much cheaper then paying each and every time.

This is a fantastic park. I live close to it, and it is awesome. The yearly rate is very reasonable and there is plenty to do in the park!

Of all the Metro parks Stony is at top of my list. Tones on awesome trails and paths to choose form. Whether hiking, to Mountain biking this place has you covered. In the winter you can cross country sky or head over to anyone of the many hills and go sledding. The fishing here is great but I suggest doing so from a boat/kayak as shore fishing may not land you what your looking for. You can't go wrong here regardless of your activities. I've heard at some of the other Metro parks that the park police can be less then friendly, I can tell you first hand that's not the case here. Every run in I've had I can say has been nothing but pleasant and I've had a few cause I'm that guy they have to track down and kick out at closing time. Now if your drunk and belligerent then of course they will treat you like such but come on that should just be expected. They do have a campsite here and I can tell you the sites are place in a wooded area near the lake shore. I have never camped here because it's just way to close to home and would be like camping in my backyard but it looks like ideal spot for pitching a tent for the night. Enjoy!!
