Terrible experience poor customer service and final product was not seated properly and ended up causing me more problems than when i first dropped it off i ended up having to send column out to another company to be repaired do to their neglect would not recommend them to anyone

Could not find a steering column for my 1978 Ford F100 so I sent it to their company for a rebuild. My steering column was in bad shape. It took them about a week and a half to get it repaired. When I received it I was amazed because I was figuring they would only replace the bad parts but every part of the column was replaced down to the wiring harness and the turn signal switch. I was very impressed with their work and so was my mechanic. He wanted their number so he could let his customers know if they need service. Spoke with them about 3 times on the phone. They were very courteous . Will most definitely use them again when needed. Thanks guys for the awesome service.

Quoted price jumped 30% in a matter of 5 months when I asked why I was told "because we haven't raised the price in a long time." I was then laughed at because it had been 5 months since my quote. Columns might be good but with such poor customer service and outrageous price jumps, I guess I will never find out.

I would certainly give more stars if they were available. My experience with Columns Galore has been more than I expected - the column they sent me fit perfectly; is working perfectly; and I and my mechanic are very, very satisfied! they have been very helpful when I have called, and gone "over the top" with their service. It is good to find a company that truly believes in customer service (and very fair pricing) and followed through on their every promise. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone needing steering column issues resolved - quickly and efficiently!

Columns Galore was one of the best experiences I have had in my 40 years of automotive repair. They were prompt, reliable and professional. On top of that they were reasonably priced. The whole experience was top notch and well thought out, I especially liked the core return process no fuss no muss. I especially want to compliment Sally who went out of her way to help me out. See the bottom for the Short Version.

So I was camping and my dad's truck got stuck in park. I wasn't able to help being out of service. They had the car towed down to their mechanic. He needs the truck for work, so time was a factor in this. The mechanic says that its the steering column. We had just replaced the column with a junkyard find in January, this was mid August.

My mom called Steering Columns Galore because they offered rebuilt columns with a warranty, cause if this was going to keep happening might as well have a warranty. Anyway she had her card out ready to buy, cause time was a factor, and the guy says that he doesn't think that a new column will fix it. Says that he wants us to check the Brake Selector switch on the brake pedal.

So my mom calls the mechanic and asks him to check that. He says the Tech says it's the column and I have to go off what they say. She mentioned that one of my dad's employees saw a loose wire down by the brakes but couldn't see what it would go. He says the Techs unhooked all the "sensors" so it wouldn't be that. My mom didn't like that so she told the guy to piss off and had the truck towed back up to the house with all the "sensors" unhooked. The only thing unhooked was the gear selector on the transmission.

The next day I got home did some internet searching and found a trick to bypass the switch to get the truck to shift which meant it wasn't the column. I got a new brake selector switch (which I probably didn't even need) fixed the broken wire and it worked.

LONG STORY SHORT: My mom was ready to shell out the money to get a column ASAP. Steering Columns Galore said it wouldn't fix the problem and they were right. They turned down a $500+ sale to someone who was ready to pay because it wouldn't fix the problem. Who does that anymore? I appreciate that they didn't take advantage of my mom. Thanks guys.

P.S.
We now need a new mechanic in the Marysville, Washington area.

My 1985 f250. Supercab. Explorer i spent almost a year getting her roadworthy. She had set in a barn for 5 years. Her steering had broken inside. Imagine how difficult it was finding a used one. The people at columsgalore. Were able to send me a rebuilt one. Even with the tilt option. It worked perfect. Awesome people to work with. Thankyou folks very much. Michael. In oregon.
