They have very poor management here. The teachers are awesome and are there to teach. They treat the students great. They dont look at the students as a paycheck.

I had a pretty bad experience. One of my summer classes went just fine, but another did not. Mark Kelchner, an academic dean, was very rude and condescending to me. I contacted the president's office about his behavior, and they promised to get back with me but never did.

I walked to the museum of contemporary art and the Heckert science and health center. Both had interesting things to see. In the museum was a hanging glass sculpture that looked like a pink jellyfish. The science center had three electronic displays that dealt with weather, internal biological structures and star gazing.

So far most of the instructors are great and very helpfull. Nice setting to go back or start collage and very cheap classes compared to other schools/universities.

I loved it at State Fair Community College, the overall instructor is definitely above average. I completed my associates of arts degree here. I can not speak for most other departments but the Science department has many teachers that could be teaching a university. They are very helpful and understanding and still manage to keep college level learning standard. WOULD gladly return here for a job or more education.

I have graduated twice from SFCC; once for Automotive and once for Education. I have nothing but good things to say about both. I had the pleasure of taking many of my classes with the best instructors the college had to offer, and I think they can be ranked among the best in the state. I also wanted to point out that financial aid can be a very confusing process; the staff at SFCC were always pretty good to me about explaining things, but it's important to understand that the government makes the rules regarding aid. There's not much they can do in certain circumstances. About the only negative thing I have to add that the college itself doesn't have much control over is the attitude of students; both times I attended I felt like an outsider and it almost seemed as if there were "cliques" at the school; if you didn't fit in them then nobody cared about you (except the staff).
