The green garlic sauce on the "cosco" (?) sandwich was really not good. Way too harsh. I love garlic but this was just raw tasting.
The sandwich was pretty much the most expensive, least edible thing I have eaten in a long time. Wrecked my whole day

I will be back!

I've had this place bookmarked for a while now. Came in on Sunday for a late lunch We got such an entrance by a man behind the counter that was so excited to show us the menu. I asked for a suggestion from the man, and i order The Rachel (Turkey with slaw). It was super!! My boyfriend enjoyed his bloody and Tough Guy sandwich.

They also have their own parking lot (major +++ in that neighborhood).

Delicious food! Some of my Faves are the fish fry with Beer on tap, the veggie melt, the cheeseburgers, the German potato salad, 7 layer bars and macaroons, Specials like the Corso, the list goes on. I come frequently and the owners are great and the food always is too.

While many people think NY when they hear deli, this place is all WI. If you're from out of town/state and are looking for some authentic WI eats on the fast and cheap, I recommend Stalzy's if you're in the neighborhood. Multiple types of slaw and good vegetarian options. They do close relatively early for a restaurant location so don't expect to grab a late dinner here.

The quality of ingredients shine here. Loved the veggie melt and the breakfast sandwich with the house bacon. I was particularly satisfied by the bun my burger was served on.
Good selection of beers in the fridge and they let you mix six packs too.

Do not hesitate. Eat here! A real diamond in the crown of Madison's excellent food scene. It doesn't get any more authentic than their local double-smoked brisket. On top of that, I've just received what was certainly the greatest customer service experience of my life. To the Stalzy's team - my sincere thanks. Keep it up.
