Small campus easy to navigate. The math and science departments are the best. I highly recommend using math-world.
The Turbon center is great. It has ping pong tables, pool tables, bowling alley, and a Starbucks.
The best way to get help is to actually visit the campus because you'll have difficulties getting answers over the phone or through email.
I really enjoy the science department here better than the Science department at Northwest Vista. Never registered full time but this college is good from what I can tell.
Going back to school and everyone there is friendly and helpful.
Unorganized, unconcerned and just all around difficult!!! If your paying out of pocket just go somewhere worth it like Austin community college. These people dont care about any problems your dealing with and they will add more fuel to the fire with more problems. This is my first semester here and will be MY LAST!
Go Longhorns!
If I could give less of a star, I would. Called almost 4 weeks ago for my transcript, and was told that I didn't need a transcript because my credits were all dual credit, and they had no record of me, anyways. That turned our to be a load of poop, because 3 days from needing to pay for my classes at a different school, they're telling me I may lose my financial aid for not having the transcript from St. Phillips. Been calling some "record specialist" Lori for 2 days now, over a dozen phone calls and 5 voicemails later, still no response. The receptionist, Jackie, won't even let you finish speaking before she transfers you without warning, it's so sad. No one here even cares that they've financially screwed me over this semester. A call back would have been GREAT. Do not waste your time, money, or efforts with this pathetic excuse of a school. They care about nothing but the money. If they cared at all about their students, they would recognize how bad they screwed me over and try to help, instead of consistently transfering me to Lori, who is way too busy to do her freaking job. This has been a straight up nightmare trying to work with these people, and I cannot wait until I can wash my hands of their institution.
Isabel Sloane graduated from St Philips some years ago. I paid tuition and spent a great deal of time pulling over and gasping from sprayed steering wheels. I had too many false memories to understand what was happening. I have someone in the family that gets paid to go to St. Philips and who broke my back with a baseball bat. Che?
Personally I had an amazing experience here, personal care about you and professors are good 👍🏻
Best math lab of all Alamo Colleges. Mr. Bob who runs it is outstanding. Love the saying "Who's your Bob?"
Great college. You make the most of it. Some may have negative things to say. Guess what? It's college. Take everything as a learning lesson. So get used to it! Grades aren't handed out! Professors don't have to be friendly. So far I've had nothing but good professors at SPC!
WARNING WARNING WARNING!!! DO NOT USE ANY OF THESE SCHOOLS!!! This is the most disorganized group of people. All they do is create unnecessary hoops that are impossible to jump through. If you speak to one person, they contradict what others have said.
It is what you make of it. No bad experiences yet. Professors are really nice for the most part.
