Worst experience at any airport. I always show up early to my flights. By the time I got my bags checked and got through security they were almost completely boarded. They recommend an hour and a half early but they are terrible!! Get there AT LEAST 2 hours early, if not 2 and a half hours early!! Worst airport imaginable.

I’ve flown in and out of this airport 5 times now. It’s a small airport with 1 place in the terminal I have been in, to get food and drinks while you wait. That is my only complaint and reason for 4 stars. When you have a delayed flight, it would be an awful place to be stuck at. Otherwise, the people have been nice and it really has been an easy airport to fly into and out of. You don’t have to get there super early, an hour at most and you still have plenty of time.

Nice smaller airport instead of using Tampa, but often very busy, crowded, and the TSA staff is understaffed with the amount of people going through the security checkpoints. So plan on taking up to 1 hour to get through security. Sometimes it faster, but don't chance it, ha.
This airport is easy to get to, clean, well kept, and has the basic food and shops inside of it.

Fly out of here constantly love it beats TPA any day been flying out and bringing family and friends threw here for about 5-6 yrs friendly service always helpful very clean will continue to use PIE for many yrs to come.

Always a great experience. I visit my best friend in St Pete as often as possible. I gave flown out of Tampa before. Clearwater is much easier to navigate.

We arrived early, 5am, for a 6:55 flight. It wasn't busy at all. When we got to the security screening area, people started yelling at us from all directions! (Employees) One telling you to do something the next yelling at you not to. It was so disrespectful, rude, and made it so chaotic when it wouldn't have been otherwise. You can treat people respectfully, and keep order better if you don't create your own chaos.

Easy airport to get in and out of. My only complaint is that for arrivals they have some stupid revolving door system that lets you into the terminal and one door wasn't working and the other one was slow so it took forever to get to the car rental counter. I've never seen anything like it and not sure of what the purpose of it is.

Used this airport during thanksgiving and Xmas time, was a smooth check in! Lines weren't too bad for speed or efficiency. Staff was polite and helpful. Clean environment with places to eat and wait for the gates. Parking is a bit cramped and lacks a good sense of direction via signs. Other than that was a great experience!

"Everything is amazing right now and nobody’s happy. Like, in my lifetime the changes in the world have been incredible… Flying is the worst because people come back from flights and they tell you…a horror story…They’re like: “It was the worst day of my life. First of all, we didn’t board for twenty minutes, and then we get on the plane and they made us sit there on the runway…” Oh really, what happened next? Did you fly through the air incredibly, like a bird? Did you partake in the miracle of human flight you non-contributing zero?! You’re flying! It’s amazing! Everybody on every plane should just constantly be going: “Oh my God! Wow!” You’re flying! You’re sitting in a chair, in the sky!"

I thought the airport was just fine. Everyone was very helpful. I mean it is an airport, I don't know what people expect. It is a place to land and take off for a trip. I would fly into this airport again. Tampa is undergoing tons of renovations right now and is a mess. And I love the code name Pie

I love using this airport because I often get cheaper flights from here and because it's a smaller airport, the security lines are a lot shorter. Who likes standing in long lines? The long term parking is also very convenient if needed.

This place is just CHAOS! There is no organization and everyone is rude. Every flight here has been screwed up. We have a baby so it's not easy to travel and this place has made it so much harder. They treat you like a criminal. They screw up and make it seem like your fault. Never been so frustrated in my life!!!
