This was a first time visit for our group. I am a newcomer to Northern Wisconsin and weekend golfer. After spending some time around the area lakes chasing some fish, we decided to head out on a course highly recommended to us by a local tavern. Very convenient setting on a state highway, but still having that remote feel. We were greeted with friendly staff in the pro shop on what appeared to be a very busy holiday weekend. The "up north vibe" I can now say is very apparent when you head out on this golf course. While being a public venue, it sure has a different feel. The property has the dense wooded setting with plenty of wildlife go around. Course conditions were excellent and seemed to hold up well on a day where every hole was occupied. The leaves were already changing colors and had neat backdrop with lush layout of each hole. Our group decided this is a must play on our now annual late summer trip. Highly recommended!

So I golf all over Wisconsin. Over Labor Day weekend, my dad and I were up in Eagle River visiting family who were camping. We made a tee time ahead of time, because of Labor Day we figured it would be busy. They had a great rating and the price of the green fees were above average, I was prepared to be impressed. However, when we arrived, they informed us that they were going to pair us up with a random two some. I wanted nothing to do with that. When you paying close to 50 bucks for 9 holes and a cart, I do not want to paired up with people I don't no. If they would have said something ahead of time I would have went somewhere else. So we waited another hour so we could go by our selves. I've been in customer service/sales all my life. The unprofessionalism of a couple of these employees was amazing. I understand if some one is busy, that's no problem, like i said I've been there, what turned me off right away was the condescending comments. The big thing I regret is not saying something. The course was a 6 out of 10. I do have to say the greens were nice. I would say top 5 of all the course I've golfed. I do want to say that we waited an extra hour and had no one in behind us at all. One time we had to wait for the people in front of us. So besides the completely garbage tee boxes and standing water in 3 fairways it was an ok round. Overall is place is over priced, poor customer service, and the course needs some attention to say the least. I my self will just avoid this place next time I'm up there.

One of the best Northwoods courses I have played. Scenic, surrounded by trees and the conditions of the course was excellent!

Fantastic layout. Wonderful staff. The course is a beautiful rolling walk carefully crafted in the north woods. The greens tend to be slow due to the northern weather but this golf club is a hidden gem. Hit a bucket, play a round, stay for dinner. You'll be glad you did.
