I have battled with how to begin this review. Sigh after a long day of ministering, I was in the mood for some soul food as a reward. Tried this place because it's close to my home. I regret to say I will NEVER be back. The fried chicken is old, dry and looks unsafe to eat & the yams and string beans appear to come straight from the can. The customer service was under whelming but not horrible. Any place has potential if they focus on quality product and experiences. Soul food train keep trucking until you get there . Going to bed hungry

Was in the mood for some good soul food like back at home and was highly disappointed. For one the location it's self isn't appealing to the eye and secondly the food wasn't seasoned the macaroni was horrible and bland and they gave me a ton of rice and very little oxtails with little to no gravy. Never again I tell you.

Great food! Everything was seasoned nicly. Buffet style or carry out! Friendly staff; like stopping by a family members house and grabbing a plate! My family dined in and had a wonderful time catching up!!!

Sum good ole soul food! Small family-owned business that definitely knows how to cook. I've tried the fried chicken, the baked chicken, the fried pork chops, the meatloaf (I believe it was turkey), the beef stew with rice, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, collard greens, green beans, yams, and I believe I may have had squash there once, and of course always with the cornbread. So you can tell I've definitely eaten there quite a few times. If you're in the area or feel like making a trip to Marietta, they definitely won't you let you down!

My sister and I were looking for soul food within a short drive from our hotel (Country Inn and Suites ATL NW at Suntrust Park), and someone at the front desk recommended this restaurant. I had the beef tips, yams and cabbage. Everything was delicious (except the cornbread). My sister had the fried chicken, which looked like it had been sitting out all day (and she said was dry), yams and greens. It was a decent choice for our area.

The service was great and they got me in and out for a to go order, but the food was too salty to really enjoy.

So I stopped by on Sunday (07/16/2017) and the service was terrible. There were 3 women there so engulfed in there conversation they couldn't be bothered to provide even mediocre customer service. The woman making my meal was so into the conversation she actually stopped making my food to enjoy her conversation. She made several mistakes on my order, luckily I was paying attention. I've been to this place several times so I know this isn't their typical service or the typical people (this was my first time seeing them). This was definitely a one off or at least I'm hoping it was. I would hate to have to find another place to get my soul food fix.

I haven't been there in a few years since I now live in Philadelphia. But I would dream about their food because it is that good. I encourage anyone who wants a Delicious memorable meal. You will eat until you pop.

This place has it all: Fresh from scratch veggies, all the comfort food you want, and Darius to tell you what's good. Top notch soul food!

Very friendly service but the food was a huge disappointment. My fried chicken wings were saturated in grease and had way too much salt. The greens tasted mushy and canned. The cornbread was dry and crumbled at the touch. The macarroni was the only good item. This was a first and a last for me.

The gentleman that served us was very nice! The selection was small. Food was average at best. Won't be back again.
