Tried the Saturday buffet for the first time. It was the prime rib and peel-and-eat shrimp night. Food was fresh and surprisingly flavorful, especially the clam chowder and beef strogenoff. Shrimps were on the small size but the prime rib was tender and not overcooked. The desert selection could have been better. Overall it was worth the visit.
Half the staff here is really friendly the other half of the staff is completely rude. I have been going to the silver reef at least once a week for years until one night a blond lady came up in my face and yelled in my ear "you have had to much drink YOUR CUT OFF" I was waiting for friends and family members to eat dinner at the steak house. I cashed in my points which I had about 150,000 and I will never be back to the silver reef. I think the silver reef is a great place to go however the bad employees there have ruined it for me. So don't come to the silver reef to have a good time. Just shut up and play slots. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE GUYS. And notice how many employees there hate there job. The bar manager is a total jerk, he and security are running around cutting people off for know reason. A security guard grabbed a drink out of my friends hands for know reason, literally ripped it out of his fingers, he was not bothering anyone and only had a few drinks. Both times we had a room there too so no one was drinking and driving. WAKE UP GUYS AND QUIT TREATING YOUR GUEST LIKE JERKS.
Update, the place seems to be getting better.
The moment we arrived the power went out. The staff handled themselves very professionally. Side note, the casino is 90 percent operational when the power goes out but if you want a beer get one quick soda's and beer on on powered taps and no airconditioning either. Shot's and Slots for the time the power was out. Great rewards program. Very nice rooms, affordable cost.
This has nothing to do with winning or loosing but when your dealers and Pit Boss are extremely rude and basically useless it sure makes your casino the worst. Silver Reef has the worst roulette situation ever. One wheel and 2 layouts. You are not allowed to bet until all bets are paid so if one side has a big payout and other one doesn't you have to wait. Well the dealer who is on the other side doesn't care about your betting (around 200 chips) and how much time they give you. They just spin and you can't even place all your bets before they call no more bets. When this was brought up to them the dealer couldn't care and the pit Boss was even worse with her shrug of her shoulders. Everyone complains and they just don't care. They are run by a joke of a company and wish they would learn from the customers who are keeping them in business. I would rate them a 0/10 if I could.
The casino is a very clean, and beautiful, with a lot of the newest slot titles, and table games.
All the restaurants and bars are amazing, and fairly good prices.
The staff are very friendly and courteous. Even when asking the wrong department for help, they'll quickly assist, or find someone who can.
The Hotel is beautiful as well. The rooms are well kept up and spacious. Smoking rooms don't stink of old stale cigarettes, which is also a plus.
The Gift shop is nice and three locations to receive rewards club assistance is nice. The hours of operation aren't the most convenient, specially with the limited selection of cigarettes after hours.
The room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and eager to assist. However, the complimentary buffet breakfast was abysmal. You have to pay extra for meat (ham, bacon, or sausage), and the eggs made both my boyfriend and I sick literally. We loved the Pizzanini but I strongly recommend skipping the breakfast buffet.
I went for dinner with my family at the Red River Cafe. It was very good food. The only reason it is a 4 star is because of the new players club rewards. Unless you go a lot and constantly use your players card you can't receive a discount on your meals anymore. And your birthday meal is no longer anytime during the calender year, rather just your birthday month.
My boyfriend and I went into the Silver Reef Casino. He put in $20 and made it into $50 within 15 minutes, so not a bad afternoon =) The staff are always friendly and helpful. And the Casino it's self is always decorated beautifully and clean. I would recommend this Casino to anyone that is in need of a vacation, without having to drive very far!
The casino is a fun way to spend an afternoon. They have a casino card and offer the card user gambling specials on different days. The slots are pretty tight but I've seen people celebrating wins so the machines occasionally pay off. Offer free sodas, coffee and water at specific locations within the casino. Restaurants charge for beverages.
This place is delicious. There is a variety of food to choose from. From salads, meats, fish, and delectable deserts. I recommend coming here on a Monday, it's "Italian Night". The only issue is the amount of time you have to wait. I'd recommend making reservations, or suffer a 1-2 hour wait. But overall, it's perfect!
This place has nice rooms and great food. Late night we had to wait in a long line for our food but the place is very exciting and if if your staying the night make sure to get the free buffet in the moring, it is well worth it. Best free hotel buffet I have ever had.
The hotel itself was very clean. The stuff wasn't extremely friendly but they weren't unfriendly either. The pool was nice and the room is clean although it looked like someone to just left because there was water still left in the bathtub. The casino was fun I did not like the fact that the restaurants are right in the middle of it so we had to take the kids through Casino in order to get dinner or the buffet. Overall experience was good I would go there again.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and stocked well. There are rain showers in the bathrooms, with three heads and setting controls. The room had a connecting door to the room adjacent, which was distracting because we could hear the people next door through the space under the door. The beds are comfortable, with lots of pillows and extra blankets. Have noticed the down feathers tend to stick out of the pillow and poke or scratch. Checked out the pool and hot tub, which were relaxing, however it looked like the hot tub needed to be cleaned or a filter changed. There is also a sauna and steam room. The free breakfast offered lots of variety. Free water bottles from the bar in the casino for hotel guests. Overall, enjoyed the stay and were thankful to the honest housekeeping staff for setting out the credit card we left behind in our room.
Very well appointed hotel; plenty of gaming slots and tables; excellent selection of penny slots; great variety of food. We went up to stay the night before our daughter's soccer game in Bellingham. It was the perfect place to stay and get to the game rested. Had such a great time, we may end up going back for a fun weekend.
Only complaint is that the non smoking section is pretty weak compared to Southern King County casinos - no tables and very few slots.
Great location. Nice, clean rooms. Excellent customer service. Great pool. The cafe was great to eat at. Don't waste your money at the buffet, no taste, cold food, the best part was the salad I made, overall the buffet sucked, so I bought a second dinner at the pizza place and it was fantastic!
