Good crab cakes, and karaoke! Last night for this trip and I am taking oyster shells back to Nashville, TN. When ya get here you will understand!
Cool vibe.. too bad I can't eat oysters anymore.. theirs are AMAZING!
My husband and I went here for lunch. We were sat at a table under a low ceiling with the ac vent just above, blasting us and our food. Our baked oysters cooled to room temp in a matter of moments. We moved to a table outside, and another couple told us as they were leaving that they had also been sat at that table and had to ask to move. They were taking bets on how long people could last there. The taste of the food was pleasing (once we were finally furnished with silverware, which had been lost in the move), except the sweet tea, which had an odd, old flavor to it. We'll try someplace else next time.
TLDR: Food = good; atmosphere/experience = bad
It was great. Food delicious, good size portion, we all were full, Brooke was a very friendly server, kept drinks full and super attentive. Karaoke was fun and the kids enjoyed the dancing and all. Will go again and tell others about our great experience
The DJ "James" was a terrific person,he convinced me to get up there and make a memory that I would always have, and I've always said I would never do Karoke because I can't sing..but I'm very glad I got the chance to meet him and go to this pub!!!! GREAT PEOPLE,GREAT FOOD AND AWESOME FUN
Loved this place. The food portion was large. The price was right. The waitress was fast and awesome on Saturday night. It was my favorite place in pcb. Also the drink we got was great. I would totally come back here when I can.
This is a great hole-in-the-wall bar. I got the shrimp gumbo and it was awesome. Ambiance is cool and has the dollar bill stapled all over the ceiling. The bartender and service was good did not have to wait on drinks friendly staff. And they've got the beer battered french fries that are crispy they are really good. My big regret was that I did not get a bowl of gumbo I only got a cup. And they are generous with the drinks if you order a mixed drink definitely worth the money. also seem to be a good crowd
Shuckums has been in business for 50 years (2017)
The food is great and you will get your fill.
They do not hold back.
A beautiful bar area and happy employees to talk to.
Did I say COLD Beer. Yes they do.
Treat yourself and visit shuckums
Came here on the recommendation of a friend. Baked oysters sounded great. I ordered the Krab Oysters and Bacon Oysters. I was pretty excited.
Unfortunately, that excitement ended with the first bite. These were probably the worst oysters I've ever had. Beneath the oyster and mass of toppings, each oyster held at least two ounces of what appeared to be grease, oil or butter.
Each time I lifted one, I tilted it and poured out enough liquid to feed a small third world village.
Half way through eating them, I became queasy. I was queasy for hours. I'm lucky I didn't puke.
The crab bisque was okay. Crab cakes, sub par.
Food was great. Awesome atmosphere. The margaritas were delicious.
Fun time with unique options. Oysters are great here. Great atmosphere for the family with a younger crowd. What's with all the dollars stapled to the walls and ceiling? Best food choice we made!
The oysters are the best I have ever had!
They had just enough room to squeeze us into the bar, which was great because they had decent drink specials.
Choosing a place to eat with a family of foodies can be tough for me, but they loved it too!
Making sure this is on the itinerary for the next trip for sure!
Average tourist trap restaurant, crab dip had little flavor and the chips were straight from a wholesale food delivery company. Crab bisque soup was not good at all, bisque was separating and tops, maybe a teaspoon of crab meat. Now for the oysters, I love raw, on the half shell, except these ones, they were warm (that's a huge no-no for raw food), shells were not clean and they were on the small sized. They were shucking the oysters, loading them on the trays and stacking anticipating the sales (no ice), the waitress would grab the top trays and pass them out, so they weren't being rotated (I feel for the one that got the bottom tray). So, I wouldn't recommend Shuckums.
