Had a very good time last time I was there, would definitely recommend going here to anyone interested in finding great deals on just about anything and don't mind the walking
Great fun, shopping, camping near flea market is great. Love this area. We make 3 day trip out of it every year and could be more
Had such fun here with my family. Craft show. Excellent vendors. Great purchases
Great flea market! Excellent pricing, lots of hand made items. Great way to spend an afternoon with family. Plus I found socks that fits! Yay 😃
I love Shipshewana, although this Labor day of 2017, vendors were scare. Lots of empty spots. There were deals to be had, since it's the end of the year. I still love the atmosphere, though. Food is always great.
We love the flea market. There is something here for everyone and the prices are reasonable. It is a lot of walking but the grounds are well kept so it is easy walking. They also rent mobility scooters for those that need them.
We go to this massive flea market at least once a year. If you like flea markets, this is the one to attend. It opens at 8:00 a.m., and you want to be there between 7:45-8:00a because there's always a line to get into the parking area. There is a charge for parking, and they fill up quickly. It took us 4-5 hours to get through the entire market, but we stayed moving. Enjoy!
I love the town. Always curious to watch how the Amish live. The flea market always enjoyable to walk through and see all of the different things people are selling. Great atmosphere. Down to earth people.
Over the years the flea market has gotten smaller in size but grown in the same kinds of booths. Several of the same "banana box", clothing, back cushions, etc. Would be nice to hand crafted items or actual flea market deals. The food is pretty good but priced fairly high. Sad when 2 people pay over $20 for a basic sandwich, fry/potato, and drink.
A fun place to see new and old items for sale. A place to meet old friends and make new ones.
Always a treat to go to the auction. A delicious breakfast at the their restaurant followed by exciting sales of horses makes for a great day.
Family fun on a road trip. The whole town was enjoyable.
Many things to do including shopping, eating, and sights.
Lots of stuffeven more people! If you like walking and looking endlessly through crowds of people and hot tents/boothsyou will love this. There are definitely some cool things here, but I was surprised at all the dollar store type of items. Worth at at least to check it out.
This review is for the restaurant:
We were there a year ago and it was much better. This year the prices have gone up! Do not order the grilled chicken sandwich or the grilled chicken with mushroom gravy on top. Both were chard with hamburger Grill remains. Yuck!! We should have sent it back but we were too hungry to wait any longer. The lemonade was warm with a couple ice cubes on top. We complained about our meals the waitress said she would tell the manager but the manager never came over to see us. Too bad for them won't be back.
