  A local treasure. A beautiful place with many animals to look at in large enclosures. These animals appear well taken care of and have large spaces to roam. It is my understanding as well that many of these animals came to be from rescue situations after injuries or would otherwise not be viable in the wild. This is a nice alternative. A pleasure to explore this place and will definitely visit again.

  Shalom Wildlife Zoo is really the hidden gem of Washington County. They offer a very well kept facility for both people to use and animals to live. The path around the zoo is filled with informative signs and offer a glimpse at some of the native habitats and early human presence. The park is fairly priced and has the amenities of large zoos. We enjoyed feeding the elk and the deer the most. Make sure to pickup a pale of feed from the main building!
  
  The zoo has a nicely groomed gravel pathway that takes you on a lengthy journey. Those with very little children or elderly might want to consider the golf carts you can rent.

  My 3 year old son and I were visiting my mom and grandmother in West Bend and we all had a great time here. I enjoyed being able to feed some of the animals. I highly recommend coming here with the family!

  Awesome experience! The park is a big loop & everyone starts from the same place, going the same direction. So save some of the animal feed you buy (at the start) for the animals toward the middle & end. All of the kids tend to run out of feed 1/3 of the way through the park which means the animals toward the end are a LOT more responsive to anyone that still has feed left!!

  My favorite zoo by far. I went with my family. We used the golf carts to accommodate our party. I enjoyed the the beautiful forest in which this zoo is located. It had lots of signs with interesting facts and tidbits. The animals looked like they were very well maintained and loved. There was a great variety of creatures. It was fun to interact with the animals by feeding them. I recommend visiting this place.

  Love it here. Great variety of animals. Especially love the bears, Louis and Clark! We have been there many times. There is also a playground for the kids. You can walk the park or rent a golf cart.

  This is such a neat place that is a hidden gem. Everyone in our group loved it (kids and adults)! Educational, clean, EXTREMELY friendly staff, and accessible to all. If you get a chance to stop in, don't pass it upyou'll be glad you checked it out. If you're planning a day trip, pack a picnic lunch, your family/friends, and your camera; this is a destination for everyone!

  The only thing I would recommend. If you want or need a golf cart to cover the vast park, get there at opening, because they only have a limited number of carts and once they are gone they are gone. You can wait around for someone to bring one back but that's about it. GREAT place animals are well taken care of and you're always seems to be plenty of animals around for the kids to look at and pet. Definitely recommend!

  Beautiful place. Great little zoo. Most of the enclosures are amazing. You can walk, or rent a golf cart. You can even feed many of the animals. Great little places along the trails for picnics and even play areas for the children. Free parking and modest enterance fees. Food for the animals is a few dollars extra. Wristband is good for all day. Cart rental is for 2 hours but no limit for walking the trails. Lovely flowers and interesting facts line the trails. Great place for family outings or even for dates. Superb little place that surprisingly few people know of.

  Me and my fiance very much enjoyed going through the winter wonderland. But, the cages for the cougar and other carnivorous and omnivorous animals are way too small. All of the animals water were frozen solid and the cute big rodent next to the cougar.looked almost frozen to death. Otherwise, amazing zoo trip! Would definitely go again.

  A little pricey for the entrance fee. A variety of wildlife, most with huge, natural enclosures. Weird to have a bucket of raw meat pieces to throw to the wolves - I worry that isn't health code due no refrigeration, kids touching it, and no near by place to wash hands. Was a beautiful place to walk around. They were obviously working on bigger exhibits for some of the animals.

  We spent 3 good hours walking through this wildlife park. If you have young children or grandparents I would recommend renting a golf cart. We really enjoyed our visit and got to feed a lot of animals. We will be back soon.
