If you want fabulous views in the spring and summer then go here.. Sit on the deck.. The prices are high, the food is fair to ok Desert is pretty good.. The inside of the restaurant is very nice. Always clean. They do have a huge brunch But the food needs to be better and the price is to high It use to be unbelievable, they lost a lot over the years

Wonderful ambience! Beautiful picturesque river views! Unfortunately our dinners were not so Hot. The service was excellent! Busy as expected. The food should have been piping hot, Right. No. But we made it a nice dinner anyway. We enjoyed our time!

Once again, a mediocre meal and poor service. I keep coming back because I hope it will get better. The new decor is a nice improvement. I think the only reason they are still in business is the fabulous Hudson River views.

I had a 2:15 reservation at Shadows and arrived with my daughter and elderly parents at 12:45 asking to be seated early if another party cancelled or didn't show up. The staff actually went out of their way to CREATE a table for four in order to accommodate our needs. It was a wonderful example of superlative customer service.
The food was hot and delicious and beautifully presented, the waitstaff was amazing!
We travel from 2+ hours away and can't wait to return!!

Had my birthday lunch there last week, it was splendid. Good lunch choices, excellent wine and beer choices, excellent service. So awesome to enjoy Sunday brunch, lunch, dinner or an outside cocktail over looking the beautiful Bridge and Hudson River Valley. Try it and enjoy!!

Great view of the Hudson. Food is good, but for the price I would expect something more. If friends wanted to eat here I would enjoy it, but not a first choice.

I have been coming to this restaurant for about 4 or 5 years. I don't live near the restaurant but make it a point to come here anytime I travel upstate. The views are unremarkable! There's an outside bar to watch the sunset and outdoor tables overlooking the water. The food is always consistently amazing! The restaurant was just renovated recently and they also changed the menu. Now it's even better. The biggest deference this visit was the staff. They were so friendly and much more attentive. My husband and I ordered wine at the bar. The bartender, Michael, struck up a conversation with us and recommended a wine he thought we would like more. He was right! It was outstanding. Not only did he tell us about the wine, he also told us about local places to go. Such a genuinely nice guy. Then we were amazed by our server, Melody. She made great recommendations and took our order without writing it done. We commented how could she remember our order and she pointed to the table next to us. She said they were there the week before and still remembered their order, down to the smallest detail. I have always loved Shadows on the Hudson, but Michael and Melody made the night even better. Can't wait to go back!!

A fine establishment. I have chosen basics off their menu which were nothing less than quite satisfactory. Wonderful summer dining, bar, and views. Fabulous for gathering with friends with plenty of room. Large establishment which may be noisy due to it's size. It is a long walk from the parking lot to one's table. Owner is exceptional and respectful. Establishment is very stylish and well maintained. Lovely.

Very large spacious restaurant. Super huge bar. Food is decent. Service excellent but the food is mediocre. Used to be better. The outdoor seating offers great views of the Hudson River.

The food was actually really good. Had the Garlic bread tower and the rigatoni where both excellent. Sadly the service was lacking. When we got there is was actually pretty busy and service was prompt. 20 minutes later it was pretty dead and server was no where to be found.

Everything looked great. The view. Everything. But I had the worst food poisoning in my life this day. All night long. A day ill never forget. I had the sea food platter with lobster mussels, raw oysters. I also ordered the salmon that came with some disgusting corn. overall i would give the seafood platter a 3 out of 10 for taste and the salmon a 5 for taste.. I never make a big deal but I'm rewriting this a year after my visit because my experience is still so vivid. The night of my visit I literally had the worst food poisoning in my life. after watching youtube videos of check ramsay, i can't imagine what goes on in the kitchen at this place.. anyway the manager did call me back to offer me a free meal, i told him that there is just absolutely no way that i would ever eat there again. I don't think he fully understand the magnitude of my food poison in the bathroom from 10pm until 9am and still sick for another day.. hope this helps. im sure I'm one of the few but if there is anyone else out there who got sick please post.

Loved this place. They did an amazing job on my reception! Props to Chris and his staff for helping us out so much. I have never been more grateful then that night. Perfect service as well, our guests loved everything about shadows!

Dinner was nicely prepared and flavorful. Portions were a good size and artfully presented. It is unfortunate that many patrons choose to wear ball caps and Dungarees to a nice restaurant and don't even have the couth to remove their hats while indoors. The persons that comment on the cost of dinner would do well to dine elsewhere.

Here for a nice Easter dinner with my husband. His drink was weak and he was told they had Sky vodka but they did not. The bar did make it again only a little better. Wild mushroom with 🐥. I had prime rib. Nice piece. Not enough potatoes. They turn the air up so it was cool and cooled your food down too. Atmosphere is ok. Would try it again. Happy Easter.
