An upstate favorite! Anytime I can manage a stop at Adams, I will. The produce, meat, fish, and dairy departments are the best in the region. Last year's holiday roast was from the butcher and it was excellent. It's price and quality were unmatched. The staff is always delightful and even when it's crowded, they remain calm and polite. I only wished they were closer to my regular stomping grounds.

Awesome place! Fresh fruit and veggies, meat and seafood. Amazing hot bar and salad bar. Also great flowers, and bakery. If you need a gift or a platter to bring someone, this is the place. There's also a florist and candy section. Great place for everyone! Visit the fish in the garden section!

This used to be the best place to shop in this area. I don't know what happened. but the market has declined in freshness. This is especially true in the fish dept. I no longer buy fish there. Almost all whitefish tastes of chlorine when cooked and is frequently not fresh. Some fish are washed with a light solution of chlorine to kill bacteria but this is overkill. I understand from other people that the quality of their chicken has also declined although I do not buy it myself. Organic produce is frequently left out for sale beyond the point of freshness. However, their old standard local produce remains varied, fresh , and beautiful, as always. Sometimes the cut up fruit has been prepared with underripe fruit(esp melons) and tastes like raw potatoes. I'm sorry to see this change in quality. The staff and service remain helpful and friendly.

Love Adams, I prefer the Poughkeepsie location mostly because of the gift shop and larger store overall but the Kingston location serves my purpose most of the time

Adam's has really affordable high quality produce, much of it local. They have a great candy shop. A great garden shop. And their hot food to go is moderately priced and usually pretty good.

Have a wonderful bakery, and a very tasteful gift and flower shop. Employ a lot of local people, and pay a fairly decent wage, and seem to generally be good eggs in the community

Nice place in Kingston for weekenders looking for quality food and products. It's a bit dated and cashiers could be nicer. Other than that, that is my Go To store to shop for food.

Love the freshness and high quality of the produce , meats , poultry and fish. To their deli and home cooked steam table meals are great. If you're shopping for unusual hard to find gourmet foods , this is the place to shop. Beautiful nursery as well.

Excellent quality, and a wide variety of things from which to choose. Fresh vegetables, quality meats, fish, deli, large cheese selection and a good bakery. All this and good lunch food to take away. You can't beat Adam's. A bit of advice, don't go there when you're hungry!

I'm thrilled to spend money at Adams. I do the bulk of my grocery shopping and gardening purchases here. The employees tell the story for me. I have seen the same faces for YEARS at all of the various departments. Helpful, engaged, well mannered and cheerful are the norm. A true hometown treasure.

There hot bar is so amazing. Reasonable prices and huge selection for take out. If certain wings aren't made that day you can ask and they will make them for you! Overall the food is excellent haven't found many dishes I don't like. Menu changes up every day. So if you are at home with no dinner made going I don't know what sounds good, head here.

I shop regularly at this small family chain. They always have a great selection of fresh produce and many are locally grown. They also carry harder to find items and many organic items as well. They can be pricey at times but they have good sales so it balances out. The staff is always delightful I get prompt courteous service. I never wait on long checkout lines which is a huge bonus. The only negative is when they are busy it is sometimes hard to navigate through the bodies of people.
