Absolutely loved my experience with Dr. Switzer. She took the time to answer all of my questions, and musings and still managed to keep everything moving. Can’t wait for my custom plugs to come in.

I had a fantastic experience having impressions made for custom plugs. Wish I had thought to visit them sooner in life, but better late than never. Highly recommend to anyone in Chicagoland.

Had my share of back and forth writing with Sensaphonics for custom sleeves for the Shure SE846.
Communication was always great (with a few hick-ups) and they struggled to do their best each time I had a question or a problem.
Sadly (and this is an advice for anybody) do not think that this works like with clothes. You get something, your ears hurts, you send it back, again adjustment, then all is good.
If you are not in the US and cannot go visit in person, then think twice. The time lost with the shipping, the transport and the risk of not having the ear sleeves be OK after sending back and forth is considerable.
Mine had to be readjusted around 10 attempts (try, retry) in Switzerland where I live and this would in no way have worked without me in person and with shipping all the time to the US.
In the end my ears are also sensible and I'm afraid to adjust the sleeves anymore in order not to make them loose. I can wear them 2h continuously which is far better than 10 minutes at the beginning.
I will replace the casing of the Shure with a custom made one (also smaller in the ear and not popping up too much) vs using sleeves for the future.
I had some money lots with this whole adventure, sleeves, shipping but it is what it is.
Anyway, this is not Sensaphonics fault, rather mine for not doing a better research at the beginning to understand all the variables.

Huge, huge thanks to the team at Sensaphonics. They worked with me over months trying to sort out remaking my ear impressions, which wouldn't have taken so long, except that my package went missing (likely stolen). They honored my purchase and worked with me regardless, even calling me when contents of my package has been found. It's been quite the journey, but I finally have my custom sleeves for my Shure IEMs and they fit perfectly. I don't often write reviews, but they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. Much love and thanks to Claudia and the team over there. Great company. Just be patient, y'all. That's all I can say. These things take time and may not be perfect the first run, but it's worth the wait.

I was interested in getting a pair of custom sleep plugs from Sensaphonics, and I was also interested in purchasing a second set of ear impressions to send to the manufacturer of my in-ear monitors to get custom ear-tips made -- seems like a pretty normal request to me, and I was happy to pay for them. No problem with scheduling a $75 hearing screening and selling me $100 ear plugs.

However, and I quote, "[they] will not support other businesses" so they wouldn't sell me a second set of impressions. But they will gladly accept impressions done by other audiologists in order to sell you a set of their own in-ear monitors. The representative also claimed that they are "all about hearing conservation" -- seems to me they're more about making a buck and preventing anyone else from doing so.

Oh, and when I tried to call back to make sure I understood them correctly, they wouldn't answer my calls.

It's a shame, really. I wasn't going to buy headphones from them either way. I'm not a musician, nor do I need $1000 headphones when I already have a $200 pair that works great. Good thing there are other audiologists in Chicago who will gladly accept my money for the same services!
