My wife and I had a great time eating here while on vacation. Don’t let strange ingredients keep you away. Amazing tasting food. (We aren’t “foodies,” we don’t normally eat lamb or octopus.) good service.

Ceasar salad (11$)was romaine with parmesan and a soft boiled egg. Tasteless. The strip steak (33$) ordered rare was well-done on the outside with a rare center. I understand it needs to be cooked but the majority of the cut was overdone and not good. The of potatoes with the steak was a single fingerling. Took 25 minutes at the bar for my salad.

Great food and great service. The restaurant had a casual atmosphere. Josh was the best server. His service was fast and he made great suggestions for food.

We just celebrated my son and now daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner at Searsucker last weekend. The food was amazing. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Everything couldn't have been more perfect. And seriously, did I say the food was AMAZING? We will definitely make this an ongoing stop when we are in San Diego. Thank you :)

Food was great, but over priced. Told our waiter I was gluten and dairy free. I ordered the brocolini side dish and it came with cheese on it! I would expect better service than that.

Great food and drink and atmosphere! We celebrate our biggest events here. 10yr anniversary tonight! And Kelly was outstandingly kind, helpful and on point with server timelines that make it a quality experience. Can be a touch loud later at night but the fun and hip atmosphere and delicious appetizers ("Smalls") and sides ("Ands") pair with any of their phenomenal entrees and make up for any noise. It's live and it's the best of downtown San Diego.

I would give Searsucker a 4.5 if I could. It's just a hair shy of a five but that should not stop you from coming here to enjoy the great food! We really enjoyed our Lamb neck and Steak. Both were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The desserts were also tasty (we had the sampler). Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant and allowed for intimate conversations.

I came in from MN for a visit. Ended up eating there on Saturday 7/1. The food and environment was great. The service on the other hand was terrible. Our waitress wasn't attentive to us at all and barely checked on us the entire visit. Only had one drink. At the end when we were ready to go we had to go up to her and get our check. The staff really makes a place and our waitress was really inattentive. Food was fantastic though.

Outstanding food! I prefer the one up north, but the downtown one is fun too. The duck-fat fries are delicious. The mussels were great. A bit spendy, but it's expected for a nicer place. Great experience.

This place was amazing! Biscuits were warm and fluffy. The charred octopus was delicious. The fries were expertly done (not greesey at all but still very crunchy). And the salmon was perfectly cooked with a tastey and fresh mixture of veg. On top of all the yummy food, our server was probably one of the best ones I've had in a long time. Excellent recommendations and very attentive to the details. Seriously top notch stuff. I highly recommend this place for any diner looking for a nice and relaxing atmosphere along with some damn good food.

This was the best place I visited in SD! The food was amazing, the drinks were even better, and the staff was incredible! The host Johnny was so kind and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Mixed bag here our server was excellent and took care of problems. Food was good after my first order was taken back to kitchen (duck pot pie came out cool the pastry top under cooked and still doughy). The meal was very good for us 2, I have had better 200.00 meals but will give it a try again next time we are in San Diego.

Great restaurant and atmosphere. My fiance and I went here celebrating our engagement and we had the seabass and Maine scallops and both were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing.

We were seated promptly and order drinks and food and our food was out faster then any restaurant I've ever been too. The manger also gave us champagne (a glass each) on the house for our engagement. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the beer on tap and had great recommendations..although it is a bit pricey it is totally worth it most places that are over expensive the food and service don't justify the price bit this place is definitely worth the price they have earned it.
