CLC has a gem here. The hike is easy to moderate but offers amazing views once you reach the top. There is a very nice pond @ the beginning close to the parking lot as well. There is also a pavilion with tables and grills for a nice little BBQ or grill out.

Beautiful area and worth the trip to get there. My boys and I hiked up to the overlook and around the pond before a thunderstorm rolled in on us and we took a hasty exit. We will be back, there is a nice picnic area next to the pond and a pavilion with picnic tables so I will probably be back with the wife for nice picnic. The Land Conservatory people do great work preserving these areas in Columbia county and preserving and up-keeping them and I am grateful for their work. We drove out the Route 9 end to get to Cemetary road, there is a bridge being rebuilt on cemetary road now and the other end of it is closed, not sure how long the construction will be going on.
