I booked the Schooner Hindu for a wedding ceremony and sunset cruise. The weather did not cooperate with our original plan but Captain Tom was so flexible and accommodating. He married us at our original time while the boat was docked and gave us a beautiful Sunday morning cruise. The crew is a class act and the boat is absolutely gorgeous!
Very nice sunset sail with a great crew. Four stars and not five, because there was NO chocolate as promised. :)
Best ever
More than a 5 star experience! My husband and I did a sunset cruise on the Hindu on our Honeymoon in May of 2015 - best experience of our entire trip. We still talk about it all the time. The service was superb and the boat is beautiful. Hope to do it again someday!
Delightful, insightful, and fun!
Our large group was treated to a great light show (storm) and tales of the sea. Captain Josh is a character, but heartfelt lover of the ship. The young staff was attentive and good natured. Glen rounded out the group with his humor.
If you want a relaxed, enjoyable time off land, go out on the "Hindu" and leave the world behind.
Absolutely fantastic treat! Captain Josh was very entertaining. Glenn and Jesse fantastic crew. All three are outdone by Finnegan the ship's dog. The best behaved dog I've ever seen! Fun if you want her to be but just as easy to have her go sit down if you are not a dog person. The boat itself is magnificent, well cared for with a ton of character.
We took the sunset sail and the views were wonderful. Command of the ship itself was excellent - (and we hit a wee bit of wavy sea). Would recommend to everyone and will definitely go again. I am here on vacation for a month and often have friends visit and find i don't know what to do with them that i haven't already done (You can only see so many drag shows). A sail on the Hindu (especially sunset) is something i can do over and over again!
Thanks for a great experience Hindu!
Schooner Hindu is a great place for a small ceremony. Holding up to 38 people it has ample room to move around. As a photographer it creates an old nostalgic feeling, that shows in light contrasted photos. It helps you put a vintage feel, but with sophistication. The crew and captain definitely love what they do, and it shows. I would highly recommend the Hindu for the creative, natural, and unique couples who want something truly special.
The boat is an absolutely beautiful wooden schooner built in 1925 and the salty crew expertly maneuvers it through the water. The crew is all female and most are pretty good looking. They served beer and wine the whole time and the key west sunset was out of this world! If you take a trip to key west a sail on the Hindu is a must do.
