Love every minute that I am here. Great place to hike around and connect with nature or just cozy up and read a book. Very educational for families and always fun events happening. Membership is well worth it.
Amazing preschool where they fully immerse the kids in the outdoors while teaching so much more than I expected. They seem to reinforce the curiosity and foster the drive to learn and understand the world around us.
Such a pretty park! I love the hiking trails and the beach is beautiful.
Took my 7th-8th grade class here for a field trip. Did the urban habitat in the morning and canoe orienteering in the afternoon. Kids had a great time and the staff was great!
A stunning gem! Beautiful trails, easily walkable even with a baby stroller. The grounds are lovely, the little beaches are gorgeous.
While I was there a wedding was being set up. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a more beautiful outdoor wedding venue.
The cost for a one time visit is a bit high, but a family membership is very reasonable and well worth it.
One of my favorite places in the world. Perfect getaway and peaceful spot for a few hours without having to travel too far outside the city.
We really love it here. The trails are beautiful and it is very well maintained. The nature center itself is beautiful. The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is that the urban ecology centers in Milwaukee created the same thing and are just a bit more family friendly inside with lots of seats and things for the kids to see.
The preschool is amazing! They get to go on hikes and learn about nature. The land there is so untouched it's beautiful
It's gorgeously nestled in the woods along the lakeshore with nature abounding. The best was their Red Tailed Hawks Skywalker.
Very natural and rustic trails and a great variety of wildlife. We saw snakes, snails, and minnows on our first visit. We bought the family plus 2 membership and plan to return often.
Beautiful buildings , and nature. You can't go wrong. Bring your walking shoes. Lots of awesome educational opportunities. Animal interactions. One of the best ways to spend a day with the family, or just by yourself. Breath taking views and benches everywhere.
Visited this place in the fall and summer, and both trips were equally pleasant. The trails are nice and long, though it feels like you're never far from where you started. They have a path through the hills, a winding trail through a prairie, a boardwalk over a pond, a tower with a great view of the lake, and so much more. If you're looking to visit a nice nature preserve for a few hours and enjoy the weather and Midwest nature at its finest, be sure to stop here.
