Went in for some brake problems they saw me the same day and had the problem done and fixed for a very reasonable price and nothing overcharged. From my experience I would recommend this place to others. They also support the troops and do military discounts which was a very big bonus.

The only trustworthy place I go for my car. Been going here for years. Staff is friendly and they let you know what's going on with the problems on your car as much as they can, give you good advice and are helpful in every way they can. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Diagnosed my CV Shaft issue incorrectly as a "Worn out wheel bearing" on a focus with 90000 miles and wanted $299.99 to replace it. the bearing and hub assembly is just 43 dollars will not be returning.

I am completely disappointed in the service. I had my daughters car towed in there and they did diagnostics on it and told her the head gasket was blown and probably cracked the head on the motor. They charged her $50 dollars and they were completely wrong! I picked the car up and took it to another shop and the only thing wrong with the car is the fan motor locked up. It runs great. They told her it would cost her 1500 to 2000!!! VERY POOR SERVICE! They tried to take advantage of a young woman. Very DISAPPOINTING!

Fantastic service when I was in a vulnerable spot
So imagine this scenario, you are 150 miles from home on vacation with your wife and two youngest children in your old faithful SUV loaded down with luggage, lake toys, rafts, mountain bikes. I've got a the cargo carrier on top and the bikes trailing behind. The transmission starts to go crazy and shift wildly when it shouldn't. It's on a Saturday morning and nothing is nearby.
The town of Sedalia is between Lake of the Ozarks and Overland Park, Kansas so I look up reviews of auto service there. A number of people indicated they received fair, fast, affordable service from Shilbys on vacation or when attending the state fair, so we decided to nurse the vehicle there in 2nd gear and take a chance. As a precaution, we rented a car from Enterprise there in Sedalia for my wife to follow us home in case of emergency. I wasn't sure if we were going to have to leave the Durango in Sedalia for the week or if it would even be worth fixing (e.g. not worth putting a whole new transmission into the vehicle).
I called ahead at about 9:30 a.m. and indicated I would be there in 45 minutes and described the problem. They warned me they were only open until noon on Saturdays, but they would do their best to get it in. I arrived at 10:15 and they got me checked in and asked all about the problems. The place had a steady business from local customers. They got the vehicle in the back quickly and did the diagnostics. Within the hour they let me know of a number of potential problems both short and long term. The bottom line was that the throttle control sensor (and that may not be it exactly) was probably faulty and should be replaced. They thought that might get me back on the road, but he also gave me a few things to check on when we got back home.
By 11:30 they had be test driving the vehicle with the new parts. It was back to normal and I was completely satisfied. I paid $180.00 and we were back on the road by noon.
If ever there was someone in a bad spot it was us. We were a long way from home, completely loaded down and with an older model car that was essentially not in a drivable condition. They worked us in, explained everything, gave us a very reasonable cost and had us back on our way in 1 hour and 45 minutes on a Saturday morning. They could have told us $500-$1,000 and I would not have been in a position to question it or shop around.
I would not hesitate to use them again. I recommend them completely. If I have non-emergency service needs in the future, I will plan ahead to drop a vehicle off there before continuing on to the lake. If you are in or around Sedalia, I recommend and appreciate the folks at Schilbys.
I relied upon the reviews of others and it helped us find the right place. I hope this review does the same thing for someone else.response / report this review -

Awesome service! We were in a hurry and trailer brakes were messing up! They got us in immediately and fixed everything!
