I'm a student at TTU who is looking for housing for next semester. I applied here and asked Shannon face to face if me not having any credit was going to be a problem, she said no and took my application fee. Less than 24 hours later she calls back and denies me for not having any credit. So me and my bud both paid $25 each to get denied faster than Amy Shumer would sign up for a butter convention, 0/5 would not recommend for any other student who has yet to have the opportunity to build up credit. I didn't want to believe the other comments about Shannon being ridiculous, but yeah she is. I don't want a landlord like that, and I doubt you do too.
I rate this place a 0 of 5 stars. It is awful! The ground rules are ridiculous like parking and maintenance. Maintenance is allowed to walk in after knocking regardless if someone is home or not just for things like changing filters and their monthly bug spraying. I have lived in two different complexes prior to this and neither conducted their business this way. In a normal appropriate setting a note would be left on the resident's door saying to contact maintenance so they can conduct these situations. The office people are so mean it's like their parents never taught them "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar". Seriously do not live here! Do not even view it as an option! I wish I had never lived here it caused me to be in a terrible mood all the time, and that is not what you want in a place of residence.
sucked
reely bad
Shannon and the front office workers are the most disrespectful and unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. You never get the vibe that you have joined a community. In reality she will make it known that you are entering Shannon's world. Do not let her fool you she will find a way to try to screw you over. Just ask others who live in Saxony, no matter who I have spoken with, everyone has had multiple complaints about her and admit that Saxony was much better before she took over. I highly discourage anyone from living here. I know all apartment complexes are a "money making" business but this one is a joke. They don't even allow locks on the bedroom doors anymore just so her employees can walk in anytime they want. This place is full of pointless rules integrated in from their terrible management. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!
Paying over $600 for a two bedroom apartment that isn't worth it, because they don't take care of the mold in the tub before placing someone in the unit, here's a tip don't barge in if someone doesn't answer the door it could be for a reason, and their internet is absolutely terrible always going out.
STAY AWAY!! Very terrible landlords (you will notice even before you sign the lease.) She will make it very hard on you to leave the place. We paid $800 for a deposit on an apartment for 3 people, and was suppose to be returned $600 ($200 always goes to cleaning fee) and only received back $500! We cleaned out the oven, fridge, floors, and even STEAMED THE CARPETS. As we went to receive our $600, she told us to leave the modem at the apartment instead of bringing it down to the main office. She then wrote down that we FAILED TO TURN THE MODEM IN AFTER WE HAD LEFT!! Liars, sociopaths, and hypocrites. Also, THIS IS A BIG ONE, There is NO SUCH THING AS A LEASE!!! THE LEASE CARRIES OVER UNTIL EVERYONE WANTS TO LEAVE. That being said, if you have a bad roommate that never wants to leave there, you are locked in until they are ready to go. NO OTHER PLACE IN COOKEVILLE DOES THIS AND THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU THAT THE LEASE CARRIES OVER AFTER A YEAR. That is very important to know. In summary, DO NOT MOVE HERE NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE!!! You will regret it, trust me. Take it from experience.
Worst. Place. Ever.
I moved out over a month ago, and it has been a battle ever since to get my refund back. Needless to say, they aren't even refunding me the right amount. I lived there for two years and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It is INSANELY expensive and they raise your rent whenever they want to. The management is rude and uncaring. If you need assistance because something messed up, be prepared. It is ALWAYS your fault. The maintenance workers do not know what they are doing either. They never fix anything; they only cover it up.
My advice: Don't waste your time or money at Saxony.
