This place is amazing! Our guide was very knowledgeable. You can even hold a baby gator at their zoo if that's your thing. It's cheaper and a better value than anywhere else. Hands down.
Cool tour in an airboat. My 4 year old went and had a good time. They gave her a life jacket, and we got very close to an alligator, but we felt safe the whole time. You can buy pictures from the trip. Didn't have time to stop at the cafe, but got a cute alligator water bottle.
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. you get to see wild alligators on the air boat ride.. soft shell turtles, birds and fish.. they also have their own exhibits after the boat tour where u can hold a baby alligator. See wild cats. Foxes, possums, must go
I was looking for a less kitschy, more natural airboat experience, and Sawgrass was perfect for me. The guide was informative and fun, and the whole company seemed to respect and appreciate nature. Our captain, Paul, allowed us to hop onto his boat when we missed our original group. Related to that, it’s easy to miss the announcements for boarding, and we got some misinformation about how much time we had before our trip. It worked out fine though! The 30 minutes goes quickly because it’s such a fun time, but the price for the ride was great. The wildlife exhibits were also really interesting, and we were able to see rescued animals that we otherwise might never have. I would definitely recommend this to those looking for an airboat tour, and I would come back to Sawgrass!
Wonderful experience. It was a part of my cruise's excursions to do before we caught our plane back to Chicago! Amazing things they are doing at this place. Someday when I have kids I want to bring them back to see the wildlife here and check up on Crystal and Cannibal!
Wonderful place. We went on the boat and two alligators and two sea turtles came to us! The guide was great. You also get to hold a baby alligator and see a lot of animals at their little zoo.
Cool place for tourists. Yet, you have to be lucky to actually spot an aligator. But if you are lucky, the impression is priceless
Nice place to take the family and friends. Not expensive. Staff very good , specially the drivers.
So thankful my husband booked this excursion. We had a great time. I'm sad I forgot her name but we had a woman driving the airboat and she was awesome! I loved her insight and experience, clearly a professional!
Went here for family vacation in FL. Great place to enjoy nature and see gators. Boat rides are awesome and loud. Staff was very helpful and drivers was very cool and calm. We tipped our driver he did a great job showing us around the park and gators.
We did not have the chance to see Alligators with the Airboat but Captain Disco did his best. The exhibit is quite small and they do not have a lot of big gators. However, they provide great explanations about gators and other species from Florida.
The animal exhibits were nice, but the boat ride itself was underwhelming. We didn't see any wildlife and I know that is beyond their control, but we didn't even go sideways in the airboat. The boat captain just received his memorized facts, with little panache.
A must see/must do!!!”
We always wanted to do an air boat ride.
This gave us the opportunity to get out and about with the wildlife.
We took a private tour (costs a little more, but it is truly worth it from the personal attention, and close up look at several 'gators.
Could not recommend this too much, we loved it.
We went during a hot time of year and mating season for gators, so we didn't see much action. We still had a great time on the boat and animal sanctuary. One of the best things that happened was the big cats specialist was a pitbull owner (we have a 10 month old rescue who finds joy in destroying things). He gave us recommendations of what they give the big cats. He said try coconuts (just drain them first) and mini seedless watermelons. Gotta say, this is the best, most revolutionary advice of our life. The coconuts are 2/$5 and last approx a week for two. Thanks so much!
We take the watermelons to the dog parks. So fun to watch, but too messy to take home.
Despite us not seeing a gator, the airboat ride was fun. Our captain took us on a longer ride than the usual half hour ride. Afterwards we were able to pet a fox and hold a baby alligator, which was awesome. The price was very reasonable as we each paid 30 bucks for 4 attractions. The customer service was great also.
