I am literally trolling away from this location as I'm writing this, after my boat stared taking on water due to a busted hose. As I sit on this lake hoping to make it back to the ramp before my batteries die I am blown away by the rudeness i just met. I asked the woman that answered the phone for help by a mechanic or to borrow a couple of tools(which I would gladly rent). The woman meets me at the gas shop and by this time I realize it is a hose and proceed to cut off the section of hose for her to get for me to buy. After informing me that "you fisherman never buy a thing unless you are in trouble." Also when I asked how much the part was I was greeted with, "O Jesus Christ." I guess everyone who fishes has money laying around at all times. I will take my business elsewhere if this is how I will be treated when in need and on the water 20+ minutes from my truck and taking on water.
@John Brown, I appreciate your response and support for Satterwhite. I posted MY personal experience with them, that's what writing a review is for. I have a very old bass boat and yes I am a bass fisherman, not one that is able to haul ass up and down the lake like you mention. You do not know me and do not know the type of person I am. I support my local businesses whenever I can but to put it simply, I often cannot afford to do so because big box stores often times sell what I need at a price I can afford. I think it is great that you support Satterwhite the way you do but to come at me with accusations that you have no grounds of making and to make general statements about ALL bass fisherman is ridiculous. I do not see you complaining about wake board boats and other recreational vehicles. Last time I checked, Kerr is a public lake and a top tier FISHERY. God forbid someone post THEIR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE with a place on a public review board. I apologize for not having enough money to afford to get my boat inspected bow to transom by a mechanic year round. I make repairs as things break because that's what I can afford to do.

@ Jeff Mews - Me and my family have been going by the store there at satterwhite point marina for many of years . We have never had any problems from any of the staff there . They are always very helpful and willing to lend a helping hand . And my brother and I are very big fisherman. So not sure what they have against fisherman.?
Let me guess You are a bass fisherman?
That's the problem , all of you bass fisherman haul ass up and down the lake, with no regards to anyone around you .
Y'all buy all of your gas, oil , and everything else from outside sources . Never supporting any of the local mairna's on the water . But yet, when one of you have a problem and need help from one of them local Marina's . Y'all except them and there whole staff to drop everything there doing at the time just to help y'all out . Imagine that . How stupid does that sound ?
The problem is not the fisherman ! It's the bass fisherman and all the (BASS-HOLES) who come to kerr lake for tournaments and haul ass up and down the lake like it's a race track.
And to you (Jeff Mews) maybe you should check your boat over good for problems and exspecially leaks! Before you decide to haul ass up and down the lake !
Maybe it's time for all of you BASS-HOLES to take your ass to a different lake , and stay away from beautiful Kerr lake !
My first visit fast courteous service will recommend it to friends
This boat launch is rather small and in a difficult location to get in and out of with larger boats. This launch ramp is better suited to small aluminum fishing boats and not larger ski boats.
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great location. Dry stack and wet slip boat storage.
Great place to store your boat. Easy to get to and relieves you of having to dry dock your boat. I use them every year.
I absolutely love this place everyone is friendly and helpfulJust awesome
They staff are great, super friendly, and they're always ready to help with anything we need! Love this marina!
My parents purchased a new pontoon boat in Spring of 2014 and towed it to Falls Lake for each outing until mid-summer last year when we moved it to Satterwhite Marina. We all have been very pleased with our experience with Satterwhite Marina. The staff is very helpful with everything they are asked to do and go above and beyond our expectations as new boat owners. In fact, they are typically starting to pull our boat once they see our car enter the gate - now that is great service!
I highly recommend visiting the marina and Kerr Lake if you are looking for a home base on a great lake. Tell Catherine and Gary we sent you.
