The view is amazing, the pier itself awesome. We loved it very much. If you're in LA you definitely have to come here

I love the pier and it's wonderful view! You can walk anywhere for free! They have cute shops and sales, too! The one thing, is that the rides are very expensive! But, it is still a wonderful place to enjoy for dates and outings!

I like everything that exists about the Santa Monica Pier set for the crowd sometimes. Seriously this is a Los Angeles landmark and there's all kinds of activities are purple each of the families and wonderful places to walk and bicycle. And you're within walking distance of really great place to shop and dine.

This place is great. I've been coming here since I was a kid. Now, I bring my kids and they love it too. A big tourist attraction for a lot of people. WE take it for granted Angelinos. I like to come here as much as I can

Great place to spend a few hours. The views are great and the people are nice. Parking can be a little tough when this place gets busy but it is worth it. Find a lot that gives the first 2 hrs free and you won. The beach is nice and the water cold. Was happy to stop by and Vist on our Vacation.

Great weather, free parking for handicap otherwise @ $10-15 daily parking fee. Family atmosphere has fun rides that you and your kids can enjoy. Lots to do near the pier there's lots of good food and the beach is really nice and clean. The water is nice and warm. Definitely recommended as family vacation spot.

A really fun place to visit! You have arcades, rides, games, the beach, the pier is amazing with such a wonderful view, and there's a place where you can work out. You have to go to this place and visit it. Overall, its unique in its own way with so much to do. do This easily triumphs over other beaches. The only sad thing is that you get no reception as you go further on the pier. So don't lose your kids. Hahaha!

Perhaps one of the most famous places in the world, and definitely one of the most popular places for locals to hang out, jog, hit the beach, shop or just chill. Great place to be on your own and enjoy nature, or spend time with loved ones, family or friends. Definitely a very vibrant and active place with the pier filled with a carnival like atmosphere and entertainment, and just a short distance people walking on ropes, swinging on bars and just lying at the beach. Traffic and parking are problematic though, so be warned! Take the metro from Los Angeles if you're coming from that area. It's cheaper and faster on the weekends when the beach is packed!

You never know what you'll see here. Street performers are in full bloom here, and there is always a good show. If you want to work out but not be at muscle beach, this beach offers many places to work on your fitness. People there are friendly and assist in showing you how to use the various work out options. I tried my hand at tightrope walking (which I would have never done if the guy doing it asked if I wanted to give it a try) and a person helped me learn how to get on the rope and begin to walk. Good people and great experiences. There are also various food options, bike rentals, and plenty of beach for fun in the sun.

Always love coming to the pier! Food, music, rides, sand and waves, sunsets. Yeah there's always lots of people, but you can always find somewhere to sit and enjoy the view and people watching. My kids love going there when we're in town.

Love the rides. Love the food options. Although parking can be troublesome it is worth the time. I love having the option between the pier entertainment and fun in the ocean.

I went to the pier in January and had a fantastic relaxing time. Though I am sure natives find this spot a dull bore, I soaked up all of the warm beach and pier food and fun I could. The area was cleaner than I imagined it would be.

This iconic tourist hotspot is a must do if you're visiting the LA area.

Make this a day trip and enjoy the natural beauty of the beach and sunset.

Try taking bicycle ride from the pier to Venice beach. Breeze bicycle hubs are all around the area and are $7 an hour. There are also local re the shops all over th beach.

The lights, rides, and food here at night are amazing.

The area is quite crowded so be prepared to be here for a while, but enjoy it.

A fun must do that won't disappoint!

You have seen this place many times on your television or laptop but nothing compares to seeing it with your own two eyes.

You have various restaurants on the pier but I wouldn't truly recommend any. However, the views are just astonishing and people are truly different. You have your typical tourist crowds, the people who live there, the people trying to make it out of there, and people who just love the area. All of them are on that pier and all of them are just unique.

If you get a chance to watch the sunset, you'll see just how beautiful your day can get. The ocean and mountains are just superb. You'll think you are in a movie and when the sun does finally set, you'll just witness something people talk about seeing. The perfect sunset.
