A great job is done in Santa Barbara to subsidize transportation for all people.
Santa Barbara's public transportation system. Average. Fair. I find it to be too expensive ($1.75) and the drivers are really suspect at best. I have encountered some really rude drivers and almost all of them speed and drive in an unprofessional manner. However, on the good side, the routes are valid, all encompassing and very much on time. (they are always speeding, so .)
Most of the time I get great drivers for my bus ride home. Only two of them are really bad. They aren't always as timely with their routes, but they are kind enough to let you pay as much as you can as close to $1.75
Some of the bus drivers can be rude, but they're usually on time and for the most part really nice.
Their timing is horrible. Some buses leave 5 minutes early, some others show up 15 minutes late, and some regularly don't show up at all and you have to wait for the next one. Don't plan to rely on it if you don't have flexible work hours.
