My kids and I had so much fun on the trip! We were fortunate enough to spot a grey whale and a pod of dolphins playing. The crew were fantastic and made sure everyone on the boat got a good view of everything while educating us on lots of different things about the whales and dolphins behaviors.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Whale Watching experience today. We saw one Whale named Top Gun and learned about how he migrated from Russian waters where he was sited in 2015. We saw two species of dolphins (hundreds of them). The staff were friendly and very informed. It was a beautiful trip! Highly recommend!! Kids were free since it's October. Best place to book is directly through them on their website.

Amazing trip! My parents came to visit for the weekend and wanted to go on a whale watching tour, but thought we wouldn't see anything because we were slightly out of normal whale season. We not only saw a humpback whale, which was incredible, but about 100 dolphins, a shark, and some California sea lions. The boat did an amazing job following the whale, and we saw it surface 4-5 times before we had to go back to shore. The wildlife guide on board was excellent and provided plenty of good information about the animals we saw without talking on and on about nothing like they do on some tours. The employees supervising on the decks were also very helpful and did a great job enforcing rules. The boat was very clean, including the bathrooms, and quite stable. Ticketing, check-in, and boarding/unloading processes were all smooth with no issues. We will definitely be returning for another trip in the future!

We took a long needed vacation to San Diego. My friend recommended the whale watching tour. It was great! We didn't see any whales but saw a lot of dolphins and just being out on the water was so relaxing and fun! The people in charge were very nice and very informative! Thank you for a wonderful day!!

The staff was friendly and informative. We saw a pod of dolphins feed but nothing else. No whales, couple of birds, but basically 5 minutes of excitement on a 3 hour boat ride. Obviously not their fault! Would still recommend. Beautiful ride anyway. However the 3 stars is because My wife and I paid for the captains deck upgrade. It is absolutely not worth the $200+ extra. You get to board early, and sit in a private elevated area in front of the wheel house, but thats it. No pair of binoculars or drinks included. No added hospitality, just a bench to yourself and a slightly elevated view. Save your money and just do the normal ticket. The views from the main deck are still great. Add to that the fact the we saw no whales. On the whale watching tour. And it felt like we’d just spent $300 on what was essentially a slow boat ride.

We were surrounded by Dolphins and a Shark. I didn't think we'd ever get back to shore. It was so much fun

What a great time. The crew worked really hard to find a whale for us, and we found one. Then there were probably hundred or so dolphins playing with the boat.

This is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had, they say they don't do it for the money however when you spend 60$ for two passengers and four hours of your day and don't see one single sea creature, in a three hour off shore ride, not worth it. They offer you a business card for a free ride. Well if you're coming from across or out of the country for that matter this excursion is not worth it.

I have been on this boat more than 10 times. I've seen numerous whales and other sea life. The crews are always friendly and knowledgeable. It's one of the BEST things to do in San Diego.

Got the tour through Groupon and it's well worth it. I mean, I enjoy the whole experience of being out in the ocean not knowing what we'll see and being thrilled once you actually encounter sea life. Saw sea lions, variety of marine birds, an ocean sun fish, Finn whales (mom/calf), bunch of dolphins, and lastly encountered some humpback whales (mom/calf). And as you encounter these animals your tour guide gives info about the creatures, which is fun. Totally worth it for the 3 hours youre out there.

The boat left promptly and came back just as scheduled. We saw over 500 common dolphins. I was disappointed that when we finally saw Fin and Blue whales they didn't stop because we needed to get back on time. Although I understood that to an extent, the whole purpose of the trip was to see the whales so it was disappointing that we barely saw them even though they were there.

We did a tour today and it was great!!!! The staff was amazing and we got to see 8 whales on top of dolphins and sea lions. The Tues/Thurs half price deal was well worth it!!! Just moved here from phoenix and want to come back very soon!!!

Horrible customer service. Unfortunately, my wife woke up sick the day of our trip. I called inquiring about possibly moving our reservations back a day as they take 3 boats out a day. The man I spoke to was rude and unhelpful, when I commented on their lack of customer service all he said was "okay." They generally didn't seem to care about keeping their customers happy and coming back. I completely understand that there are cancellation policies and what not, but every business has flexibility and the option to serve the customer the best.

Me and two friends decided to go in early December. We were in between whale seasons. Although we didn't see any whales, the price was worth the view of the ocean, Mexico, and the San Diego coast. One suggestion: if you get seasick DO NOT go on this tour unless you take medication. A woman threw up on the top level of the boat after ignoring the crew's message of taking sea sickness medication and let's just say I was the unlucky one on the bottom level. The staff was awesome and very informative! They gave me blankets to wrap up in after I had to take off my sweater and wash off. If you go, make sure you look on their Facebook page to see if there have been any whale sightings and do your research online to know the seasons for the marine life. Bring a sweatshirt. We are from MN and still got a bit chilled. Also, bring plenty of snacks (crackers just in case you get sick) and water! Have fun

    Great experience!

Honestly I was disappointed at first when the online reservation declined my credit card and I was going to cancel the plan or go to another whale watch, but I called them to see if there was still a trip for today and if they'd accept cash and they said yes.

The trip was amazing, don't forget to bring a camera or if you're using your phone make sure there's enough storage. Also read the instructions on their website, it's quite helpful.

The staff were nice and the boat was nice and clean. Nice seats, whether you want to be very close to the water or want a high spot or indoor seating.

It's a 3-hour trip which I liked because during the first hour we didn't see anything at all except sea birds, so I wanted more time.

We saw lots of dolphins and they gave us some information about them, they also kept telling us which direction the dolphins appeared.

Since we didn't see any big whales, they gave us a voucher for %50 off the next trip.
