Beautiful place. I’m not LDS and I don’t feel out of place coming here. Just don’t expect to be allowed inside the temple. There isn’t a dress code as far as I can tell - shorts and tank tops or dresses are fine, but you may get some weird looks in a belly shirt or something totally see-through. Come in April/May for gorgeous flowers, and around Christmas for intricate lights. Look for the constellations and stars on the temple. Also the tabernacle is here, and often there is someone playing the organ. Also an interpretive center if you want to know more about Mormons.

The Salt Lake Temple is magnificent both inside and out. It was built over a 40 year period by Mormon pioneers. It is immaculately maintained and staffed by kindly workers. Truly is the House of the Lord.

Beautiful area, winter was chilly, but bundle up and go earlier than you'd think because you can spend hours here checking out the sights at Temple Square. The visitor's center is a great place to learn about what temples are and why they are built. Talk to the guides here and they'll tell you what's cool to visit.

The Salt Lake Temple is the GEM of UTAH and an abosulute must-see for anyone visiting Salt Lake City. The phenomenal architecture and gorgeous lighting is particularly remarkable at night. The visitors center just south of the Temple details the history and construction of the Temple. The Temple grounds are also stunning with amazing gardens and flowers in the Spring and Summer, beautiful Autumn colors in the Fall, and stunning Christmas lights in the winter. Entry to the grounds is free. To enter the Temple a person must be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and practice religious standards.

The Salt Lake Temple is an astounding architectural feat and a beautiful place to visit. The grounds surrounding the temple are pristine, which shows how respectful visitors are to this site.

Regardless of your faith, it's a wonderful cultural experience to gaze upon the intricate towers and meet kind greeters who are happy to help answer any of your questions.

Pro Tips:
- Dress modestly to show respect to this important religious site
- If you are curious about the Tabernacle's history, the greeters are happy to help
- Visit at dusk to see how the sunset affects the already breathtaking backdrop of the Temple

The most beautiful building in all of Utah, reflecting the very best in workmanship of the 19th century and the high ideals of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This building is a religious masterpiece. The interior is as beautiful as the exterior and the grounds. Although only practicing Mormons are permitted inside, there is a nice miniature showing the interior of the temple in a vistor center just south of the temple. I am partial to the Salt Lake Temple because I was married there; the staff of the temple was so gracious and accommodating to us. Stunning views of the temple from all angles and all times of year--one of the most photogenic buildings in the western United States.

Went since I was 12 years old. It is an immaculate building. I no longer believe in the religion, so I won't be bias and speak I'll of a church I no longer believe in. But the inside of the building and architecture is amazing. The rituals, not so much in my opinion.

I would recommend ALL people to come and experience the majesty of this beautiful temple. The outside inspires awe and wonder. Over 100 years ago, Mormon pioneers came to this place, and built this building. They toiled and labored many long years to build this structure by hand. I would recommend all come and see what devotion these Latter Day Saints put into such a majestic home built to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Been all over this temple, inside and out. It's an amazing place to visit. But you have to have a temple recommend to get inside. Talk to your local LDS leader and he'll be happy to get type going on a recommend.

This is a beautiful place. There is such a special feeling walking around the temple grounds and the gardening in immaculate. The Grounds are very well kept and the visitors center is informative and nice. Also the missionaries are friendly and helpful. Try to go around Christmas! The lights are BEAUTIFUL.

Beautiful, and very peaceful place. We only had about 1-2 hour to soak in the AWESOMENESS but it was enough to enjoy the grounds and review some church history. The visitors center closed early but we were able to walk around the grounds until 10pm. We than walked to get late night good at the Cheesecake factory. It was a wonderful experience. Next time we will also visit the Catholic Cathedral that was nearby.

A must stop when visiting salt lake. Beautiful grounds to explore any time of year. Great sculptures fountains and flower gardens. The nearby visitors center is a great spot to learn about Utah history and The Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. Fantastic Christmas lights display around the holidays.
