We come here for the races and have stayed at both the lodge and the cabins, great place with very friendly staff.

I've stayed in a wide variety of hotels, from bed and breakfasts in Cornwall, to historic hotels in Oslo as well as hotels up and down the East coast of the US.

I have never before stayed in a hotel where the walls are quite so thin. I can hear *every* word of the neighbouring rooms conversation - I too would be annoyed if my child had torn their clothing on the days adventure. The "delight" of hearing their TV, however, is starting to wear rather thin, although I might join in with the audience's applause.

The rooms are tired, the bathroom is small and the coffee facilities in the room are less than the bare minimum - frankly this is not worth the money that we spent on it and I would encourage anyone thinking to stay here to simply not.

The only reason this has a 2 star, rather than a 1 is that it has a king size bed.

After voicing our concerns we were offered a new, and comparable, room. This room, you'll be pleased to note, was much quieter - still as sparse and tired, but quieter. Less welcome was the collection of dead flies in the bathroom, I can only assume that the room has either not been used for a while or not been cleaned for a while.

Interestingly, it appears the room was a wheelchair accessible one with a stool in the shower & ultra low profile access to the shower. Less commendable was the access from the bathroom to the bed area, which appears to be the bare minimum width for a self propelled wheelchair to fit. While the chair might fit, the hands of the user on the outside of the wheels certainly won't, without contortion. While I'm on this subject, the front entrance has a ramp, the hotel has lift access to all floors and there is disabled parking close to the front door. This is all negated as the front entrance has no dropped kerb for wheelchair users to access the ramp once they've parked their car - it appears the hotel has not thought this through adequately, which rather sums up my entire experience.

Stayed at the cabins. Love the view, the cabins were clean, and the lodge was great for swimming indoors and outdoors (both heated and very warm). Some of the appliances were dated and the poison ivy was overgrown in many areas close to the path. The bedspreads looked a little stained, but the sheets and towels were clean and white. Overall had a great time and love this park. Everything may not be perfect but it felt like a home away from home. Maintenance team came out quickly for any calls we made. Lodge staff were extremely knowledgeable and hospitable. Loved taking my family here.

Lodge facilities are nice including the indoor and outdoor pools. Plenty of hiking and horse trails. Only down side is that there isn't much if you're stuck inside due to rain. Cambridge in the closest town, but its fairly small and has limits activities.

We stayed over memorial day weekend. The room was a shockingly great deal (very large, and clean, with a balcony and a kitchenette) for the price. We enjoyed the amenities and the hiking trails nearby. Also, I was very pleased with the restaurant offerings. Overall it was a great value and we are planning our return.

I have been coming to Salt Fork for a long told and it is a beautiful park. I stay in the log most of the time and they staff is really nice. They have ton of things to do at the park from golfing, gem mining, boating and so on.

Went to the Ohio Bigfoot Meeting. But felt that they should have better publicized the events in the newspaper because I had no clue what they were going to do. Truly disappointed with the fifty dollar tickets that were required & sold out. Where was the pre-publicity for this event? The lodge is rustic, charming and Salt Fork State Park, it amazes me does not attract more to it

Stayed two nights in a lakeside chalet cabin. Pretty remote park, and the lodge is another 10 minutes past the park entrance even. Had lunch at the restaurant, it was pretty average. The luxuries all around are pretty astounding, though. Gift shop, indoor and outdoor pool, hot tubs in the cabins, wifi, cable, a/c, fire pits, grills, full kitchen, and everything looks brand new. This is in a beautiful park full of nature, but it is absolutely not "roughing it."

I love visiting the lodge, my grandfather owns land in the area. I have stayed there before and the rooms are nice. It's a beautiful building. If you're interested in Sasquatch you need to see the statue and there's a lot of sightings in the area.
