Salon Cheveux has an amazing staff. Everyone is friendly & strives to make each person look great while also making you feel like a part of the family. The quality of service & expertise is second to none. If you want the best they are definitely who to go see. My personal favorite is Amanda Streat. She always gets my hair exactly how I want it with a little flair thrown in.

First time I ever got a hair trim at salon Cheveux was in June of 2015 to get rid of split ends and damaged hair. The lady there STRAIGHTENED my curly hair then trim it. As anyone who knows their stuff should know, you don't do that.

Second time I went there was in November of 2015 and a much better woman trimmed my hair. She was nice, talkative etc. She even waxed my lip like a professional and I was happy. She allowed me to borrow a hand-held mirror so I could watch the entire process and have some in-put. She even applied an ointment beforehand so it wouldn't hurt as much. Great woman.

Third and mostly likely last time I went there was in March or April of 2016. I went in for a lip wax and a different lady did it from the last time I went there in November. She DOUBLE-DIPPED WITH THE SAME STICK IN THE ENTIRE PROCESS. I was so bewildered, I didn't know what to say. A few days later, I got a rash and breakouts in that area. As I was getting the wax, she would have left some patches with hair there, if I had not told here if she could get those too. Completely UNPROFESSIONAL PROCESS. No before-wax ointment, no offering of hand-held mirror, and worst of all NO NEW STICKS BETWEEN EACH DIP! However, that time the waxing cost me half of what I paid back in November, which was $5 and not $10. But I'd rather pay a higher price for quality waxing, than to get a disgusting procedure for cheap.

I guess it just depends on what person you get there. But I'd rather go to a salon knowing that each and EVERY SINGLE MEMBER THERE KNOWS THEIR STUFF LIKE A PROFESSIONAL, CERTIFIED DEGREE-EARNING PERSON IN THE FIELD OF COSMETOLOGY, than to have to cross my fingers and hope for the best and not feel secure. I want to go to a salon that provides professional, quality, hygienic, safe, affordable service time and time again. Not every here and there; EVERY SINGLE VISIT.

Overall, out of my 2 out of 3 visits there, they have been quite disappointing. I wish that all staff could be like the lady who was a very professional, informed individual who practices like she has a degree in cosmetology and proves she knows what she practices. I know they can do better, it's just a matter of Salon Cheveux wanting to be better. They have potential, they just have to want to pursue it. They very well could and should be able to prove themselves to be providing professional, quality, hygienic, safe, affordable service time and time again. For that reason, I give them 2 stars and not the 1 star I was inclined to give them at first.
