Pro sushi chef. You won't find better sushi techniques for at least 200 miles.
Every single sauce, dish, and recipe is homemade.
He's the real deal, and you can find him 7 days a week with his wife in this cozy little place.
Take out is generally fast, especially if you call in. I also hear they deliver complete catering around town for pretty cheap.
They're straight across from the medical center, can't miss the plaza.

Friendly people. Good food. We go there nearly every Sunday. The wife and I get either salmon or shrimpwith a soup or salad and fried rice and vegetables. It doesn't take long for the food to arrive. The staff knows us so we'll, we're almost like family. They have sushi, of course, but we stick to the cooked stuff, so, no opinion.

It is known for sushi but unfortunately we did not get sushi, we ordered hibachi. On a scale of 1 to 5 the hibachi scored a 2. On a high note the staff was friendly and attentive the entire time we were there. We may give it another go for the sushi, but only for the sushi.

You may not expect much from a sushi place in Dothan Alabama, but you would be wrong. This is my favorite sushi restaurant, and I have been to quite a few all over the US. Sakura has menu items that are uniquely its own, and if other sushi places knew they would be copying what Sakura is doing. The Volcano roll is the best roll I have ever eaten, and has a very unique crab salad on top that is excellent. I would also recommend the seafood salad which is a cucumber salad with raw fish, seaweed, and other goodies all combined into one bowl that you won't find anywhere else.

They also have solid boxes with more typical Chinese and Japanese food for the less adventurous eater. If you are traveling through Dothan don't hesitate to stop.

Good place for sushi. The service is good and the food is decent.its never packed in there so you shouldn't have to wait even though it's a small restaurant

Best Japanese restaurant in Dothan. The sushi is great, the boxes are highly recommended, and I love that they serve Yakisoba in a box. The staff is friendly and pleasant to talk with.
