If I could give a negative I would. This is NOT a resort! This isn’t even a campground.
How can bathrooms be spotless on Friday and never touched for two days. I know there is a staff member on the clock, we saw him drive around all day. I’m sure he had time to clean the bathrooms. Ice cold showers and Broken washers. A park full of people and you have 2 washers that work?? Amusing!
We asked if they had a dog run as we are tired and dogs need a good run after being in crates all day. We were told yes, a 5x10, uneven, unsafe, exposed roots and filthy fenced logging road is NOT a run. We found a dog park up the road BUT, who wants to drive more to excersise our pets. What a crock!
The owner thinks grown people who are affluent enough for the rates, follow direction on how to find this deplorable excuse for a campground (NOT A RESORT) need a sign on the gate on how to use a simple gate key. The credit card sized key card does say “this side up with an arrow” if you can’t follow a simple direction you shouldn’t be driving anything!
For the price we paid for this “Resort” a night, we could of stayed 2 nights with hot water, clean bathrooms, ample washers that work and the knowledge NOT to belittle the people who are keeping you in business.

Great location for touring The Biltmore. Lots are VERY TIGHT for 36+ rig parking. Adequate dog run (beats not having one) if your pets need exercise. Here in late fall so no exposure to pool or lake facilities.

Really loved this RV park. One of the best I have ever stayed in. Probably the nicest in the Asheville area. Big rig and dog friendly.

The park itself is nice and we'll maintained but the people running it are not good people at all.

I had paid for a space a year in advance and took a job in a city a couple hours away. I asked if there would be a refund and if not, it would be ok, that I would simply use the space I had paid for from time to time until the time I had paid for expired. I received no response so I assumed my space would be there when I returned 2 weeks later.

The managers or owner decided to invalidate my contract and proceeded to rent it to others without notifying me and without returning any of the money I had paid for the year.

I went to the office to attempt to resolve the issue and they simply stated that I would have to pursue the issue in court. Well I intend to do so.

It's a nice enough park, but be careful that you don't get taken advantage of. Given the opportunity, they will take your money and rent to someone else.

The park was clean and all of the hook-ups worked flawlessly. Do your research. It is by no stretch of the imanigation camping? Sites are too close together and parking is non-existent. Thirty-eight ft fifthwheel, (I know, not really camping either) but we had to wake someone up to move their truck so we could get the camper in place. This campground is literally in the middle of town. If you prefer to have full amenities but be near nature and not be on top of your neighbors, this is not your place. If you want to be close to Target, WalMart and every restaurant you can think of, this is your place! Also, do not let the word “lake” in the name of the property fool you maybe 4-6 acre pond. I enjoy having a nice campfire but for fear of setting the entire park ablaze, we chose not to. Saw the funniest thing though, a Canada came in for a water landing in the “lake” and bounced off the bottom! I would recommend to those who want to be in town but not those who want any type of hiking or nature experience. More like a location for a hotel/motel than a campground/RV lot.

Very disappointing weekend experience! I gave it one star due to the lady that went out of her way to help me get a last minute reservation over the phone. RV spots are so close together that when you open your door you are may be 10 feet from the neighbor next to you. They pack them in like sardines. If you have dogs you definitely need to pick a different park-almost all gravel-very little grass.😏

Very clean all around, especially the showers. Great fishing spots with seating for the whole family, all near your campsite. Super friendly staff that are there to help, but sometimes need assistance from management to answer hard questions. The campground is near many great businesses for campers, such as Camping World and two grocery stores.

This owner is a real piece of work. She made our reservation & gave us the prices for the site we picked out that best suited our needs. I am a travel nurse & made it VERY CLEAR that we were looking for long term (3 month stay) & that we did not like to move around. Halfway through our three month stay, She decided that she had not charged us enough for the site, shortened the length of our reservation by 2 weeks (told me she could change it back to the original dates we were given in a written agreement if I would give her an additional $418 for the last 2 weeks of our stay). Ummmm no thanks. When I told her I would not be paying any more money, she insisted we move to a smaller site on a different row (which was actually cheaper than the one I originally reserved & paid for), but never offered refund for the difference. Even INSISTED that we move RIGHT AWAY as it was one of their handicapped spots (though it was never labeled as such & actually had rocks & not a concrete pad, which I'm sure would be required to be ADA compliant for handicapped accessibility). Anyway, we happily moved on today & are glad to be rid of this woman. The employees are all terrified of her with good reason. However, you could not ask for a more hospitable group of employees to help you out. The bathrooms were always super clean, but half of the washers & dryers in laundry room were broken the whole time we were there. (The site she insisted we move off of right away ended up being occupied only 2 nights of our remaining three weeks there & they weren't even close to being handicapped) Just be honest in your business dealings, people.

Friendly. Staff went above and beyond in making sure our trailer was on level ground. Five star attitude of management and staff. stayed in 2015 and spring 2016.

The campground definitely caters more toward an older crowd. Very few families were there, not including our four families that came together. Also, don't be surprised if they change your site after you book. We booked three sites together, and somehow managed to have two sites together and ours another site down from where we booked. Overall, it's not a bad campground, but many RV parks host children's events as they get close to Halloween, whereas Rutledge had private parties for an older crown each night we were there.
